Late Update - End of September 2024
Late post for September:
🐕 Our sweet pup, Baby; PPuppy Lovewent in for her international health exam required by the CDC to fly with us to Roatan.
We got some unexpected news—she was diagnosed with a heartworm infection. 😔 We’ve started preliminary treatment with medication to prepare her for the three part injection process, which begins in November. It is a long process but we are hopeful we caught the infection before her heart was infected as the blood work did show worms under the microscope but the chest xray show no organ damage. In my research I learned that Heartworm is a tricky infection as our pups can be infected while the heartworm does not show up for as long as 7 months. She should be cleared for travel by late January or early February. 🙏
During the past few weeks Baby has become a little skeptical of mommy hiding the meds in her treats, so now it’s "medication time" around here—no tricks! 🐾 She like most pups understand more than we think.
Meanwhile, daddy is already in Roatan, soaking up the sunshine and the blue-green Caribbean seas, while meeting up with the locally owned and operated Gardens and Landscaping team on the island of Roatán, Honduras. experts SSierra Leighty-Hamiltonof https://www.hamiltonfarmsroatan.com/Haliton to keep things running smoothly on the property LLittle Farm by the Sea - Roatan🌞
