Bailey Pianalto Photography

Bailey Pianalto Photography Intentional photography for vibrant spirits and loving hearts. For Bailey, there’s no place with as much to offer as Kansas City (she’s looked).

Bailey is a photographer based in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City, Missouri. Bailey’s life centers around the two things she holds most dear: her hometown (and the people in it) and her experiences abroad. But there’s no better thrill than exploring a new city for the first time. That’s why her work features these two things: living local and traveling far. Bailey is exper

ienced in photographic storytelling as well as portraiture and natural light photography. Her polished documentary is complimented by thoughtful composition.

Some love stories feel written long before the people in them ever meet. And the storied Red Lyon Tavern, a place layered with decades of memories, late nights, and lore, is where Sam & Trevor’s story began.

One fateful evening, Trevor’s now legendary fashion choice, a Shania Twain shirt, caught Sam’s attention from across the bar. She called out to him, a conversation began, and the rest became the kind of story that almost feels too perfect to be true.

In so many ways, their relationship feels beautifully unexpected. Trevor, a fourth generation Kansas farmer. Sam, a lawyer from Connecticut. Two people from entirely different worlds somehow finding each other at exactly the right moment. Returning to Red Lyon to capture this season of their lives felt deeply meaningful, as though the walls of the tavern were quietly holding yet another unforgettable love story within them. 🤍

To the mothers who have loved, guided, supported, and celebrated through every season of life, wedding days belong to you too. These moments hold so much more than beautiful details and happy tears. They are a reflection of years spent caring deeply, showing up endlessly, and helping shape the lives standing before you. Today we celebrate the joy, pride, and love that mothers carry into every wedding day. 🤍

The evening unfolded like a scene from another time, set against the timeless backdrop of the Kansas City Country Club. Guests gathered for a candlelit dinner where tables overflowed with vibrant, garden inspired florals, bringing the romance and color of spring indoors in a way that felt both elevated and inviting. Conversation lingered, glasses clinked, and the room glowed with a warmth that made every moment feel meaningful.

As the night deepened, the celebration spilled onto the terrace beneath softly tented stars. What began as an elegant dinner evolved into something electric, with music drawing everyone to the dance floor and an energy that never let up. Laughter echoed, movement filled the space, and the night carried on with a kind of joy that felt effortless and unforgettable.

A clear vision for your wedding changes everything.

Your point of view becomes the starting point, shaped through collaboration into something real, candid, and artful.

The result is imagery that feels like you. And lasts.

Katherine & Nicholas’ winter wedding at the Nelson-Atkins Museum unfolded with a warmth that felt both welcoming and deeply joyful. Thoughtful decor filled the iconic space with an inviting glow, creating an atmosphere that encouraged guests to linger and celebrate together. Before cocktail hour, the couple’s friends & family enjoyed a private, after hours stroll through the galleries, a quiet and memorable moment that made the evening feel personal and meaningful from the start.

The couple embraced the beauty of their venue, taking time to capture portraits that honored the museum’s grand architecture. As the night carried on, the celebration turned playful and festive. The dance floor came alive as guests donned Christmas accessories and shared laughter late into the evening. It was a wedding day filled with art, connection, and the kind of joy that lingers long after the last song.

2025 was, in many ways, the most challenging year my business has ever seen. More so than the pandemic. I faced unexpected personal challenges that nearly floored me, but also uncovered a depth of resilience I never knew I had.

With that pressure came clarity. Stripping away the noise brought me back to my values, my people, and the heart of why I do this work. And letting go of what no longer fit made room for growth that I never expected: I empowered my team to stretch themselves creatively, and together we created some of our most meaningful work to date. I deepened relationships with cherished vendor friends, pushed myself to reflect on my own photographic voice, and kept my couples’ experience at the center of it all.

Because of that, I know that 2025 will always hold a special place in my heart. Looking back, I am able to see just how much the good ultimately outweighed the bad. And now I’m stepping into the new year grateful, grounded, and excited to continue growing with intention.

I hope this year brings joy, clarity, and gratitude to each and every one. Happy New Year

🎶Deck the halls with love today,
Winter weddings—hip hooray!
Bundle up and gather near,
’Tis the season for good cheer.

Naughty lists are tossed away,
Only nice is here to stay.
Raise a glass, let cocktails glow,
Warm us up from head to toe.

Candles flicker, laughter too,
Snow drops in for the “I do.”
Velvet, sparkle, winter white,
Love looks extra good tonight.🎶

🎄❄⛄ Wishing you all a very happy holiday season! 🎄❄⛄
