the story of Balmain Army:

"it's happened during my last winter show...I felt like my life was becoming a battle, because I was literally trying to please so much, you know, the press, and...

at one point I was like, I don't want to please anyone except myself.
and it was from this moment, when I started to choose different music for my show, when I start to actually put more pop culture, to do different casting, you know,
really really, realised that sometime's fashion is a fight,
a battle.
and so:
To fight against it, just be part of my army.
and I started to create the Balmain army.
that's it.
it's a fabulous army, it's a glamour army,
there is no violence obviously, it is just an army of vision and of strong people in it.
but it's really because I became someone who is myself, who pleased myself.
