"How weird do you want to get?" we asked. "Let's get fu**in weird," they answered. Mardi Gras feels oddly like the perfect date to share this feature from with you all. Anna & Jacob's wedding had everything you could ever hope for: neon lights, guests dressed up as cats, a backless wedding dress, late-night carajillos. No wonder more people wanted to see it! Shreya & Will were one of the sweetest couples we have ever met being wedding photographers. This past season we seriously had the best clients in the World. They were the kind of people that Mishka & I end up the day secretly confessing we would love to be friends with. Shreya, from India, and Will, from Puerto Rico, live in New York. They visited Antigua, Guatemala, loved it, and decided to get married here. The week of their wedding, perfectly planned (as always) by .eventos, was pure bliss. Thanks so much to all the vendors that made this day possible!!

2/2 There are 18 years between Chris & Kelly, but as Chris' daughter calls them, these Twin Flames did not stop beaming with energy & light throughout the 3 days we got to know them. Chris started coming to Guatemala in his 20's as a paramedic & then both have come several times to fulfill their love of paragliding. They have done trips in which they basically cross half the country flying in their paraglides. We further connected with Kelly once we knew she loved Animal Collective, one of our favorite bands, and that was for us a sign that this was a good match :) Kelly & Chris, thank you so much for being so genuine, humble & caring. Your wedding was one of our highlights of 2022

Where to start with Chris & Kelly? These two messaged us short of 3 months before their wedding last April, and while we don't normally take up weddings with such short notice, there was something special in their email. I knew it was one of those couples that we would click with & would really enjoy getting to know & working with. More on them in the second part of this post. For now, we want to share one of those stories one tells when asked "What funny or crazy things have you witnessed as a wedding photographer?". When I went to capture Chris' getting ready he tried on the suit the tailor had just sent him from Guatemala City, when he tried it on he realized they had given him a size or two too short, and that that wasn't going to work. After much stress & brainstorming, I remembered there's a tailor () next to Casa Santo Domingo, so we headed there 20min. before we had to go to the Ruins of La Recolección for their photo-session & hoped for the best. This guy saved the day, he had a few jackets he let Chris try & one of them worked perfectly, so he could go back to enjoying one of the most beautiful days in his life. Continues on next post..

Ethan + Shelby took a trip to Guatemala & decided to do an impromptu engagement session with us. We visited the Ruins of La Recolección, the new speakeasy of The Blue Room, the bus station & walked around the streets of Antigua. These two rocked it in front of the camera 🎸🤘🔥

Weddings need more champagne showers & coffee breaks, am I right? I can't wipe the smile off my face after looking at these pics from Lindsay and Cary's wedding. We have one more crazy busy weekend and then things will start to slow down for us (and by slow down I mean only one wedding a week! 😅) this day was a breath of fresh air for us, there was so much color and laughter that we couldnt wait to share these with y'all!
