More than half of Ireland's bee species have declined substantially since 1980 and two have become extinct. I've recently begun a personal project, visually documenting Irish beekeeping and I look forward to sharing more soon. Stay tuned. 🍀 🐝

Ireland has 28 types of bumblebees and 98 bee species, 1/3 of which are currently under threat of exctinction. The populations are declining primarily due to habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change. I've just begun a new project, that looks at Irish beekeeping organizations and the important work they are doing. Stay tuned. July 16, 2020
