Why is nobody talking about the fact that Bryce Canyon might be the best kept western vibe secret in the entire West?

We’re talking horseback rides overlooking pink limestone hoodoos, a real rodeo under the Utah stars, and a high desert escape sitting at 7,600 feet so it’s actually cool while the rest of the Southwest is melting.

And Ruby’s Inn is the perfect basecamp for all of it. Ten minutes from the park entrance, rodeo right on property, adventure center, cowboy buffet, the whole thing. You can book your horseback rides right in the lobby after taking in the cowboy breakfast buffet. This place has been doing it since 1916 and somehow still flies under the radar.

The Perfect Weekend in Bryce Canyon.

Bryce Canyon is an epic summer destination, and with this itinerary you too can have the perfect western weekend. Plus, Ruby’s is dog friendly! Meaning you can bring your pups with you for the adventure! 🐶🐾

Friday - Arrive in Bryce Canyon City and check into Ruby’s. Take your pups on a walk along the rim trail between Sunrise and Sunset Point inside Bryce Canyon National Park. Enjoy dinner at Ebenezer’s Barn and Grill Dinner Show

Saturday - wake up and enjoy breakfast at Ruby’s breakfast buffet then go on a a scenic horseback ride. You can book your ride in the lobby of Ruby’s at the Adventure Center. After, grab lunch at Ruby’s lunch buffet then take your pups on a scenic hike through ponderosa pines in nearby Dixie National Forest. In the evening check out the Bryce Canyon Country Rodeo for bullriding!

Sunday - wake up for sunrise at Sunrise Point in Bryce then hike the Navajo to Queens Garden Loop. Afterward, stop by Tourist’s Rest .rest.coffee, Ruby’s brand new coffee shop, for some pastries and caffeine! Their matcha with cold foam is amazing!

After, head to Red Canyon and hike with the dogs through the hoodoos!

This weekend we spent time at Bryce Canyon National Park and made our home base.

One of the hardest parts of summer sometimes is getting up before the sun because sunrise is so early! Especially at most parks when you’re staying super far away from viewpoints or the best viewpoints are a hard hike to get to!

One of the coolest things about Bryce Canyon is you can stay at Ruby’s and be literally ten minutes away from this viewpoint. Roll out of bed, put on your shoes and BAM sunrise beauty just minutes away.

I’ve explored almost all of the national parks out west and one of the reasons I love Bryce is because it’s so accessible for great views! Yes you can stay inside many parks and be close to trailheads but you usually don’t have WiFi, comfy beds, or convenience. That’s why Bryce is so cool. I can sleep in my comfy bed at Ruby’s, use the WiFi, enjoy their amazing amenities, and still be literal minutes from trails and viewpoints.

Truly one of the most accessible parks for sunrise and sunset viewpoints. And Ruby’s makes it so convenient to relax, have a great night’s sleep, and have a great experience in the park.
