And for all the new followers and people who might not know me.... I'm Joel Hursh. I'm 16 and am currently living in Guatemala with my parents and one sister. I have one brother in Pennsylvania, one brother in another part of Guatemala, a brother in Oregon, and another sister in Montana... As you probably know, I really enjoy photography... I got my very first camera in November of 2017... Since then it has been a very fun journey! In the last year, our lives we're changed drastically! Taking pictures has been a great stress reliever for me through some of those tough times! Many people have asked what I like photographing the most... I believe that at this point, my favorite is simply capturing the beauty in God's beautiful creation! I never knew how much I was missing till I went out late and night and photographed the stars, when I went for a walk and photographed the insects and butterflies, when I took time to stop and look at a beautiful flower and see all the intricate parts it has, and so, so much more!! It has been a great experience for me!
💲Photography Career?💲
I have also been asked if I plan to make photography a career... That's a very hard question... With my age, the options are very limited, but I would eventually like to maybe sell some wall prints and some things like that! Currently photography is just my passion and hobby and am not hard up to earn something from it, although I think that might come with time..
📸 Camera Gear📸
I am currently shooting on a Sony A7ii... For what I do, it has been a wonderful camera! I only have 2 lenses currently, one being the 28-70 kit lens and the other a Canon 70-200/2.8... I hope to eventually get some more good glass, but a missionary paycheck isn't very large, so I plan to wait a while for that! 😉
