Welcome, June. Καλό μήνα ✨

To the people who have been here for years, thank you. And to those who are new here, welcome. I’m Kimon. Stay a while.

On the first of each month, I like to share a small reflection and set an intention for the month ahead. Lately, I’ve been posting about authenticity, analogue, and what it means to create, observe, and share from a place that feels honest.

June feels like the right month to embody that more fully. Greek summer brings everything back into the body: sea, tears, sweat. Long days of movement, stillness, travel, reflection, and connection. A month that asks us to notice more, stay present, and remain curious.

So the intention this month is simple: stay close to what expands you. Good people. Meaningful conversations. Art. Movement. The small moments that make you feel present inside your own life.

Because maybe that is where honest creation begins. Not in performance, consumption, or trying to be perceived a certain way, but in presence. In curiosity. In doing the work, even when it feels hard, and allowing yourself to create from the life you are actively living.

Happy June lovers,

Kimon ☀️

A short ferry from Santorini, I made an overnight trip to Paros. Sometimes the work is simply showing up.

The weather was touch and go, but he didn’t want to wait for the perfect moment. He trusted the one he had. Each moment together was perfect. So the wind kept moving and the clouds kept shifting, but none of it mattered.

It was just the two of them, and he asked her forever. 🤍

Old digital film and 35mm stills.

A small experiment in making an urban engagement film with tools that once felt perfect.

Maybe that is the state of the world now. A return to what worked. Not perfect, but there was trust in it. And there is strength in that return.

There’s something about love that asks for less control.

As Sofia Coppola said:
“I wanted to do an intimate story between two characters… the idea that you can meet someone and spend two days with them and that can be just as important as someone you’ve known for years.”

The softness, the delay, the texture of it all feels closer to memory than perfection does.

Easter in Greece is deeply tied to place, and each place carries its own traditions. In Pyrgos, Santorini, particularly on Good Friday, lanterns are placed across rooftops, paths, and walls, gradually building until the entire hillside is lit. By the time the epitaph begins, the village has already taken on a different atmosphere.

The entire place embodies a somber feeling. The symbolism is heavy, carried through the light, the movement, and the ritual itself. It is something shaped by the people who live there and repeated each year, until the whole village feels absorbed into the procession itself.

Analogue photography belongs on a wedding day for more than just how it looks. The aesthetic matters, of course, but film also creates a different kind of record, one shaped by limit, materiality, permanence, and the possibility of becoming part of your history rather than just another gallery on a screen. I wrote this piece for anyone thinking not only about the beauty of photographs, but about what will actually remain.

I’ve been thinking a lot about digital fatigue, analogue life, and why Greece still teaches the world how to be present.

So I wrote about it.

Greek Guide to Analogue Living is now live. It moves through Greek daily life, slow rituals, tactile culture, and why this country feels so right on film.

Καλό μήνα & Hello March ☀️

March in Greece marks spring not because the calendar says so, but because people choose to mark the change.

On March 1st, we do it with a simple ritual: a red and white thread tied around the wrist called Μάρτης (Martis). The superstition is that it protects you from the early spring sun, so you won’t get caught by it as the light returns. It’s an old tradition, traced back to antiquity, and it carries a reminder that after winter, we forget how quickly the sun can burn our skin. ♥️🤍

So we wear the Martis as we step into the season with awareness, and as a reminder that renewal has intensity.

Welcome March. Here’s to stronger light, and a little protection. 😘

invited me into their In Conversation series, so I guess this is a good time to say hello again.

If you’re new here, welcome. If you’ve been following my work for a long time, thank you. Truly.

In the interview, I share what I’m doing behind the scenes when things get real. How I work with intuition, how I protect the experience, and why the best photographs usually happen the moment you stop performing.

If you have a minute, please go read it and also support THEODORE. Their platform leads with love, and their commitment to inclusivity and equality is exactly what we need more of right now. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💕

Fig season in Kos. Greece doing what Greece does best.🤍💙🧿

Ariana and Sam, right at the start of harvest. And just like that, there’s the colour palette. A day built on texture and ritual. Tables heavy with fruit and wine. Candlelight, flash tattoos, and a mountain reception under the open sky. What could be better? Late night gyros, of course. 🍇🍷🕯️

And featured on Junebug Weddings to boot.

Part Three (3/3), the final pages of 2025. 🌟

Again, one slide per connection. To everyone I worked with, thank you for being part of my 2025. ♥️

For 2026, as mentioned, more analogue. I’m also quieting trends. Styles have their moment. This industry moves fast, and I’m part of it too.

But I’ve learned how easy it is for “the look” to show up overnight and start feeling like the rule.
I’m choosing something steadier.

I’ll show up with less noise and more attention, and make work that feels like you. Here’s to a happy 2026. Deinfluenced. 💋
