After all these years guiding people across Santorini, you’d think I’d have a list of “favorites” ready.
The truth is… some places feel different when you’re not rushing through them—when they’re not just another stop to tick off. Their magic lives in the quiet moments, not the schedule.
But this one never changes.
This small blue-domed church, tucked quietly away from the usual paths, is still one I return to—on my own. No groups, no rush. Just a pause between the wind and the view. A play of light and shadow. The feeling of catching up with an old friend.
We have hundreds of churches here. Each beautiful in its own way. Yet somehow, this one feels different. It doesn’t ask for attention… and maybe that’s why it stays with you.
When I guide, these are the places I try to share—not just what you “should see,” but what you can feel.
If you’re looking to experience Santorini beyond the obvious, I’d be happy to show you my version of the island.
