The Hermes Room wakes slowly — his portrait watches over the corridor outside, breakfast unhurried, mornings that don't rush toward anything.

The Pherekydes Room: named for the philosopher born on this island in 580 BC, who first measured time by the fall of light. On its wall, a contemporary canvas by Εικαστικές πνοές Γιώτα Σωτηρίου—proof that 1874 and today can share a wall without either raising its voice.
