This woman was not the only victim. Even the 13 people mentioned are not the only deaths. Another person also lost their life after becoming trapped in a vehicle during the flooding. People are truly dying because of this rainy season.
When I saw bloggers dragging Liberia 🇱🇷 after Austin was brutally beaten to death, it broke my heart. Instead of showing compassion, many people mocked an entire country and used that painful moment to say hurtful things. They forgot that no country is perfect. No human being is perfect. Nothing in this world has everything.
Life is both bitter and sweet. The best thing we can do is be grateful, appreciate what we have, and look out for one another. Never belittle people, especially when they are already going through pain.
Now the floods are affecting all of us. As a business owner who moves around a lot, I have seen how difficult things have become. Many people have lost their lives, money, homes, businesses, and valuable property.
At this point, this is bigger than arguing about which country is better. It is bigger than trying to mock one another. We need compassion, unity, and prayers. While good infrastructure and proper drainage matter, what we are experiencing reminds us how vulnerable we all are. No nation is completely immune to disasters.
Please pray for Ghana. This rainy season is only beginning, and forecasts suggest more heavy rains ahead. May God protect us, comfort every family that has lost someone, and carry us safely through this season.
