Back to the world of Vicky Rennison Photography—the job I absolutely love! 📸🤍

After a well-deserved break, it felt amazing to be back behind the camera today, capturing the beautiful and intimate wedding of Anna and Nick at the stunning Grays Court in York.

With just five of their closest family members by their side, their ceremony was incredibly personal, relaxed and full of love. Afterwards, we enjoyed a lovely walk around York Minster, capturing some beautiful memories along the way.

Grays Court is such a gorgeous wedding venue, and the staff are always absolutely amazing. What a wonderful day to return to work!

Enjoying my holiday and having the best time with my best mate, Leanne! A well-deserved break, plenty of laughs and the two of us being completely silly—as always! Life’s too short to grow up! 😂

✨ Be you—and be proud of who you are. ✨

The truth is, most of us have something we would change about ourselves. I’ve spent years going up and down with my weight, and there were times when I absolutely hated having my photograph taken.

Then I made myself a promise—for me and for my children—that I wouldn’t hide from the camera anymore. Because photographs aren’t about how many chins, rolls or “tyres” we think we have. They’re memories. They’re moments our families and children will treasure and look back on in years to come. ❤️

This was me around 22 months ago. I’ve come a long way with my weight-loss journey, although I’ve still got a little way to go. I love looking back and seeing how far I’ve come—not only personally, but with my business and the life I’ve built.

But even then, I was still me. Still loved. Still worthy of being in the photograph.

So please don’t wait until you’ve lost weight, changed your hair or feel “perfect”—because perfect doesn’t exist. Get in the photograph. Capture the memories. Your family loves you exactly as you are, and one day, those pictures will mean absolutely everything.

Be you. Capture you. Be proud of you. 🥰📸
