Yum yum yum!

Cake smashing fun !

Cake smash photoshoots are such a fun and memorable way to mark a first birthday ❤️

This one was a joy to design, and the cake they brought along matched it perfectly, bringing together all parts of this under-the-sea theme.

And this sweet little boy tucked right in, YUM!

Behind the scenes!

Creating this stunning colourful sea theme backdrop for a birthday photoshoot!

I always love designing and creating new sets, how good does the DIY coral look?!

I enjoy crafting as a hobby, although rarely get time to do it, so when I need to set aside time to make and craft pieces for work it really doesn't feel like work at all, it's enjoyable and relaxing, and those props are then added to my growing collection for future sessions.

Birthday fun - under the sea!

What a fun set this was to put together! Putting my own stamp on a request for a birthday photoshoot along the theme of an under the sea children's story book.

I really enjoyed this one, and so did this little sweetie who did a great job in smashing his cake with the help of his wooden spoon.

This cake was brought along by his mummy and daddy and neither of us had seen the cake/backdrop set prior to the session, and yet they ended up completely matching perfectly! 💙

Golden Hour

Bringing some sun and warm vibes to your feed today, Oh how the weather has turned! -We really did need a bit of rain though!

There will be more summer golden Hour evenings before September ends so still opportunity to bag some beautiful bespoke images just like this 🥰

Breastfeeding gorgeousness!

This post was due to be published to mark the end of World Breastfeeding Week (1st - 7th August) but scheduling it didn't work, so I'm continuing to raise awareness of this special week by adding these into the grid this week ❤️

I have been photographing Breastfeeding mothers for years now, and each and every one is remembered by me and are completely unique to one another! Each special journey marks something truly wonderful, a huge achievement on top of already doing such an incredible job being a mummy!

Breastfeeding can be really hard; it can present so many difficulties and hurdles to try and overcome, and it also -sometimes- comes with the minority in society forming a negative opinion. This is why I do these photoshoots; to push back at that taboo, to spread as much awareness and confidence as I can, to empower these incredible mothers to keep going and keep the positivity alive, and to gift them a beautiful picture so that they can ALWAYS look back on their journey with pride and smiles.

However you choose to feed your baby, you're simply wonderful, and for those who do choose to Breastfeed, let's show them our support ❤️

World Breastfeeding Week

1st - 7th August

(Adding some last posts that didn't post despite setting up some scheduling last week!)

We've looked at some benefits to mothers from breastfeeding, but there are also SO many benefits for babies too!

We disucss these and more during my wonderful empowerment breastfeeding photoshoots which I do monthly throughout the year. I love to chat with mums to find out how they're getting on with their own unique feeding journeys, to talk about how it is positively impacting them and their babies/toddlers/children, and to share the benefits that I know of that they might not have heard of ❤️

It isn't always the easiest journey, there are so many things that can impact or affect a mothers experience feeding her baby, and at the end of the day fed is always best; But for breastfeeding mothers who often have hurdles to overcome, our support as friends, family, health professionals and society, even just in the form of a normal healthy acceptance of a natural and sustainable delivery of nutrition, can mean the difference in decreased breastfeeding rates and continuation of prolonged breastfeeding durations ❤️

Where it all started ❤️

The idea of running my free breastfeeding empowerment photoshoots started at the end of my own breastfeeding journey.

It was bittersweet; my youngest suddenly weaned herself off VERY quickly without much warning, and before I knew it our breastfeeding journey had come to an end and I was gutted! It was such a beautiful thing to do and experience that I wanted to keep going into the toddler years, but she decided it was time. Knowing she was about to stop, I managed to get a couple of photos of (what happened to then be, unbeknown to me at the time) our last ever proper feed 😭

I am SO grateful for these photos, they mean so much to me, and feeling how special and important they were to have it inspired me to give this to other mothers; to capture their breastfeeds and gift them an everlasting photo memory of their own journey ❤️

And in doing so, I've been able to continue my passion for growing positivity, breaking down society's taboo around public breastfeeding, and completely empower the breastfeeding mothers community to continue to feed their babies confidently and contendely.

World Breastfeeding Week 2026

1st - 7th August 💛

This is a week to celebrate breastfeeding through a global campaign.

This year's theme; 'Breastfeeding for a sustainable start in life: strengthen what works'.

This means we look at;

-The chain of support including workplaces, communities and health systems, which can all aid in the success and continuation of Breastfeeding and support mothers who choose to Breastfeed their babies.

-Food security, nutritional and health benefits, and how reduction in poverty is linked to Breastfeeding.

-Proven interventions, like skilled infant feeding counselling, can greatly improve and support a Breastfeeding journey.

For those mothers who choose to Breastfeed their babies, for however long, there are many benefits to the mother during this time for her mental and physical health and wellbeing ❤️
