What an amazing sky last night! There was even a double rainbow, which unfortunately I didnā€™t capture but the cloud formations were so beautiful. My friend Rachel is now referring to me as ā€˜Constable McLoughlinā€™ given my obsession with clouds šŸ˜‚.

Growing up in Sheffield I loved the hills of the city and the nearby Peak District. Despite living in the Vale of York for almost 20 years now Iā€™ve only recently appreciated the exquisite beauty of the areaā€™s big skies.
This trio of photographs printed onto canvas are from my ā€˜Big Skiesā€™ collection. Taken from the bottom of my garden (and where the display is shown here) this trilogy is entitled ā€˜Cawood Cloudsā€™.
These canvases would look perfect on a blank white or grey wall and can be sold individually for Ā£30 or as a trilogy for Ā£85.

Iā€™ve always loved taking photos, and recently this hobby has developed into a passion, and now maybe beyond that.

I studied the History of Art and Architecture at university and have always been fascinated with composition, light, and the emotional impact of a beautiful painting, sculpture or building.

Photography can capture a faithful likeness of an image, but it can be so much more subjective and nuanced. My photography leans towards an aesthetic style rather than a technical reproduction of the person,scene or building before me . Watch this spaceā€¦ā€¦ā€¦..šŸ“·
