I got to be a wedding guest this weekend, and I loved every single minute of it. 🤍

It was such a wonderful reminder of what it feels like to be on the other side of the camera — to simply be present, soak up all the emotion, and watch two people you know say I do.

I loved every second of watching Keely and Andy’s day unfold. The happy tears, the laughter, the little moments in between… Andy’s wonderfully tearful face as Keely walked down the aisle, followed by his hilarious and very enthusiastic “I DO!” 😂🥹

Every moment was just wonderful. They also looked incredible 😍

And because Instagram now lets us add a caption to each individual image… keep scrolling right to the very last one. 👀

Because this last photo deserves a little shout-out to their photographer, who was an absolute pleasure to watch in action. So friendly, calm and gently organised.

Winter in York is something else.

The city slows down, the lights come on earlier, and every street seems to have its own little bit of magic. Step a little further out into North Yorkshire and you've got cosy manor houses, candlelit barns and some of my favourite venues looking their absolute best.

York Register Office is always a favourite, but wherever you're celebrating, winter has a way of making everything feel that little bit more special.

Good winter light is short. Knowing where to find it isn't.

That's why I know when to sneak you out for ten minutes, where to find the best light, and how to get you back to your guests before anyone notices you've disappeared.

Less time wandering. More time celebrating.

This is still one of my most favourite venues 🌳Luxurious Accommodation & Exclusive Venue . It is especially stunning at this time of year, the garden shines in the summer sun. Hannah and Shaun were wonderful to snap. I'm so glad they added on my mini film option. I will be adding this wedding to my blog next week if you want to see the highlights.

Last November feels like a lifetime ago after this week's heatwave.

Looking back through Hannah & Lucy's wedding at Merchant Taylors' Hall in York has me excited for autumn wedding season. I love summer weddings, but there's something about the rich colours, softer light and cosy atmosphere that always makes autumn my favourite time of year to photograph weddings.

These two first met at a friend's house party, but really got to know each other through creative photoshoots together. Lucy is a photographer, Hannah is a cosplayer, and somewhere between cameras, costumes and a few "informal dates", they found each other. They made it official on New Year's Eve 2019, with their first kiss at midnight.

Their wedding was full of colour, laughter and so many of those little moments that can easily go unnoticed on the day. They told me they chose me because they loved my editing style and the way I capture those moments, and days like this are exactly why I love what I do.

Sophie & Fran had the perfect weather for their registry office wedding last week.

This year I have had a lot more smaller local weddings and I have loved capturing them.
