Back at the end of summer I got to work with the lovely and Linda to create a serious of completely natural and playful images to showcase .affair lollies.

A walk to The Railway Museum, a bit of bribery and a lot of laughter had these two handsome devils being models for the afternoon.

Every December, usually just before Christmas, creates a treasure hunt through the house for the boys to follow. There’s sweets and little gifts along the way and ends with an early Christmas present.

Every year I try to photograph it and they move so quick and the lights are low and it just doesn’t work. This year this is all I got. But I love it.

It might not scream ‘treasure hunt’ to the untrained eye, but I know. And in years to come I will love to see that they were so excited. And couldn’t always reach the cupboard.

Happy New Year, and all of that jazz.

We normally avoid the beach on New Year’s Day, preferring to dodge the crowds and go on the 2nd instead. But we went for it this time, and I’m so glad we did.

And this group here, running so freely into the North Sea, gave me the kick I needed to strip off, pull on the wetsuit and take a (brief) dip.

Takeaway from the day to live by for the rest of the year? What’s the worst that could happen?

It’s been a whirlwind few weeks, September always is. But throw in three birthdays in one amazing weekend at the seaside and one party and we’re just about finished with the tidying up and catching up on sleep.
