Yesterday I headed to Christchurch as I've heard that's the best place to spot the White Tailed Eagles. I got a bit of an early birthday present as they turned up 3 different times.
They are utterly incredible birds, impossible to mistake for anything else as they soar through the harbour using wings that measure nearly 7ft wide. Their arrival each time was signalled by every other bird in the area making an absolute racket, then there they were.
I saw two juveniles and one adult, and if you've not seen them yet I'd really recommend a trip down Christchurch way over the summer to see if you can catch a glimpse 🦅

I had a great time getting some photos for the amazing Yeovil Amateur Pantomime Society this week who round off their run of The Wizard Of Oz with two last shows this afternoon and this evening. Make sure you catch it if you can - especially immersive today with the wind howling outside!

All summer I've really had one goal - to get a photo of a Kingfisher that's so close that I don't have to crop, and you can see the details in all the feathers.
Well, yesterday not only did I get it, but with the most beautiful light across it as well.
So here is probably my best shot of the summer.

Last Saturday I had the privilege of photographing Showtime Collective 's latest extravaganza of singing and dance. All the performances were absolutely next level and it was great to see so many of my friends up on stage doing what they do so well, Darryl Twitch Rushby, Zoe Moo-Cow Cunningham, Ebony Saunders, Matthew Brooks, Hannah Victoria, Lissy Jane, Amy Burke, Izzie Barnes and of course Amy Phelps who put it all together.

A couple of weekends ago I saw a heron down at Ninesprings with a huge fish. I honestly couldn't get over for days how massive the fish was and how the hell he'd caught it 😆 So recently I went down and spotted him looking for a fish from the branches, and sat for ages with my camera trained on him waiting for him to pounce...and after a while this happened...

Sadly after a bit of a tussle with it back in shallow waters, he lost it and looked very sad about it 😕🎣
