This right here is why chasing in Canada & the far northern plains of the US is so appealing!

A few shots of last night's moonlit elevated thunderstorm while it was dumping huge hailstones on Bournemouth. Shame the CGs were so distant, but I appreciate the bolt that made the mammatus on the back edge visible! (Photo #1)

This surpassed my expectations, and I couldn't believe I had the whole place to myself on such a lovely evening to wander around and photograph.

18th May 2025 saw See Nature's Fury racing south-westwards towards a developing chunky monkey of a supercell crossing the border from Texas into Oklahoma. When we got there, we were pelted by golf ball-sized hail, and watched as the storm put on various tornadoes, shown in these photos. The main tornado was eventually rated EF3 and was majestic to watch, eerily spinning against a bright late afternoon backdrop behind the cell.
