20th of June 2025 was 28 degrees in Wales, I don’t know but this heatwave brings memories back from my childhood in Portugal, how we learned how to live with the hot conditions and swimming pools. Today the 21st I’ve been living half and half in each country, to be honest I didn’t think I would last this long as when I came to the UK I used to feel that it was a bit of a depressing country, however I learned to adapt and make the country that gave me everything my home. But as we all say in Portuguese “Saudades” never go away and it’s nice to relieve these.

I’m gonna start a new “trend”/ method, when I was young I used to have a disposable film camera which allowed me to capture whatever I wanted with freedom. In my entire life I focused on moments or something that made that day special, so from now on I will post images that mean something to me with a caption of that moment. This will make my instagram page my memory book instead of having prints. 👌🏻 Lets start this amazing project of my own 🥰

In this image I went to the Feast Festival, and for someone that was raised in Portugal and people that know me knows rides are special to my life, this is because it reminds me of my Portuguese Summer Fair (photos to the right, a really old one as well) that happens every August. I had amazing times and only who is from there will understand how amazing it is and inside my heart I treasure the memories I have 😍

Here’s a throwback into my history, when I was young into about my 7/8 years old I remember picking up my grandmas really old film camera, my aim at the time was capturing memories so when I grew up I could relieve them or I could remember every single one of them.

I am finally sharing them, don’t know why it took me so long but by looking back into my photography passion this was one of the main reasons I would always photograph, every-time I look at these pictures I keep falling in love with the fact that photography was also my escape from reality.

I live you with two pictures of my childhood in Portugal, these being specifically targeted my dad 🥰❤️
