Wrexham Photography Club

We are a long established group of about 30 people with one thing in common - an interest in photography.

Wrexham Photography Club are beginning to plan ahead for our 80th Anniversary which we will be celebrating in May 2027.

We are delighted that we have several members who have been club members for many years.

A special mention must go out to Stephen Lloyd who first joined our club in 1966, a wopping six decades ago!

Steve has become a very valued club member who is always happy to share his extensive photography skills and knowledge with our newer members. He is one of the leads of our new 'Possibilities ' tuition evenings, and regularly presents for us.

Steve can often be found in town taking photos of the people of Wrexham and the sights that most of us miss with our busy daily lives.

We appreciate everything that you do for the club Steve and admire your fabulous images 🎉♥️📷

Would you like an introduction into using digital software such as Photoshop?

Would you like to understand the principles of getting the best from your photos whether they be from a camera or mobile phone?

Wrexham Photography Club are offering a digital post processing course "Possibilites".

Our second session is this coming Monday, 26th October, 7.30pm, Maesgwyn Community Centre, Lilac Way, LL11 2BB.

Open to non members.

Cost £3 per session.

Today marks sixty years since one of the bleakest days in our history.

Wrexham remembers the 144 lives lost in the Aberfan disaster 60 years ago on the 21st October 1966 😌

Last night our club held its monthly 'photo challenge' evening.

Our theme for October was "Faces".

We had 34 excellent entries.

Our winning images were entered by:
Nevil Clydesdale and
Jane Mullock joint first place 👏🎉

Stephen Lloyd - runner up.

Well done everyone 👏

Last night the club held its first internal competition of the season. We had over 70 great images submitted.

Our lovely judge was a first time visitor to Wrexham Photography Club - Kay Newman from Deeside Camera Club.

Our top three images in both the colour and mono categories were all excellent. Well done to all our winning members, Alix Langton, Michael Bryan , Richard Jones and to Mike Mason - who had winning images in both categories.
