This little version of Freya is packed with detail, right down to her markings and expression. Seeing the figurine alongside the real dog really puts into perspective just how much care and craftsmanship goes into creating them.

Most people don't book a photoshoot because they need photographs.

They book because they don't want to forget.

The grey around the muzzle.
The way they tilt their head when they're listening.

If I could give Bruno a theme song, it would be Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf.

Some dogs are born to be models. Bruno? Bruno was born to be wild.

This boy lives for adventure, exploring every scent, every path and every possibility. Sitting still for a portrait wasn't exactly high on his priority list!

In almost six years of photographing pets, I can honestly say I've never met another dog quite like him. Was he a challenge? Absolutely. But every dog deserves photographs that celebrate who they truly are, not who we want them to be.

Timing was everything with Bruno. One second he'd be there, the next he'd be off investigating something far more exciting than my camera. But with a little patience, a lot of perseverance, and by letting Bruno be Bruno, we made it work.

And once he'd earned his freedom to run, that's when the magic happened.

Wild, free-spirited, endlessly curious... and completely unforgettable. 🖤

Introducing another new Ambassadog - Freya the Alaskan Klee Kai 🖤

One thing I love about photographing different breeds is discovering those that people don't see every day, and the Alaskan Klee Kai is definitely one of them.

At first glance, many people mistake them for a Husky puppy, whilst others assume they're a Pomsky. In reality, the Alaskan Klee Kai is its own breed, developed to have the striking appearance of a larger northern breed in a much smaller package.

And what a stunning package it is.

With their wolf-like features, piercing eyes and beautiful markings, they're a breed that naturally commands attention. Pair that with a woodland setting and it's easy to see why Freya looked completely at home amongst the trees.

Freya herself was an absolute delight to photograph. Full of personality, endlessly curious and always keeping us entertained, she had me laughing throughout the entire session. The kind of dog that makes every click of the shutter enjoyable.

I think this image captures exactly what makes the breed so special. Elegant yet playful, striking yet approachable, and proof that you don't need to be a large dog to have a huge presence.

Choosing a photographer isn't just about liking their images. It's about trusting the person behind the camera with a member of your family.

Every pet that steps in front of my lens is treated as an individual. There are no rushed sessions, no expectations, and no pressure for them to perform. Whether they're confident, nervous, reactive, elderly, energetic, or simply more interested in sniffing the grass than looking at the camera, we work at their pace.

With years of experience photographing hundreds of pets, I've learnt that the best portraits happen when animals feel comfortable, safe and understood. My sessions are built around patience, observation and allowing your pet to be themselves.

I don't photograph pets because they're easy subjects. I photograph them because they're honest. Every expression, every glance and every little quirk tells part of their story, and preserving those moments is something I never take for granted.

When you book a session with me, you're not just investing in photographs. You're investing in memories that become more valuable with every passing year.

Because one day, the images we create together won't just be pictures.

> Cat must be able to go outside on collar and lead, or harness (preferably thin harnesses only)

> Cat must be confident outdoors

> Photoshoot is complimentary and will take place in Cumbria so you must be able to travel to Cumbria for the photoshoot

Introducing Blu the Dalmatian. Today was his turn in front of the camera and what a debut it was.

Blu is one of the newest members of the Ambassadog team and also happens to be best friends with .themerlecollie, so I was excited to finally spend some time getting to know him.

There is something about Dalmatians that makes them impossible to ignore. Their distinctive spotted coat creates a striking contrast against almost any landscape, whether it's deep woodland greens, dramatic mountain scenery or soft neutral tones. They naturally draw the eye and have a presence that stands out without even trying. Every pose feels bold, every portrait feels a little more dramatic, and they have a way of turning even the simplest scene into something special.

Blu certainly didn't disappoint. He was an absolute superstar throughout the session and made my job incredibly easy, giving me plenty of opportunities to create the kind of images I had envisioned for him.

The highlight though? The cuddle at the end.

Hearing, "Wow, he really likes you," will never get old. Anyone who knows me knows that winning over a dog is one of the best compliments I can receive. Dogs have a remarkable ability to read people and earn trust on their own terms, so when one chooses to seek you out for affection, it feels pretty special.

I'm already looking forward to our next adventure together and creating even more portraits of this handsome boy. 🖤

Your experience includes:
✔ Pre-session planning
✔ A 2–3 hour on-location fine-art photoshoot
✔ A professionally curated gallery
✔ A private viewing and design appointment or online gallery

There are no images or artwork included with the session itself. Instead, once you have viewed your gallery, you can choose to purchase only the artwork and digital images you truly love.

If you already know exactly what you want, you also have the option to build your experience when booking by selecting artwork and digital images in advance.
