Yesterday’s wedding was as close to perfect as I think weddings can get! C&J got married in a beautiful church ceremony before heading to the simply incredible Whitbourne Hall for their photos before returning to C’s family home for a reception, where they had a mobile bar, a pizza station and partied like there was no tomorrow!

Any supplier who has had the pleasure of working at Bredenbury Court will undoubtedly recognise Caz, one of the Catering Managers with Jenkinsons. This week I got to watch my friend get married (and from the best seat in the house) when I photographed Caz and Daz's wedding. I had the best time - somehow it stayed dry for all of the important bits and I got to party with the teams from Bredenbury and Jenkinsons, as well as the legends that are the Ashmore Brothers Band

Bridal-prep has long been one of my favourite parts of a wedding day - not only do I get to take gorgeous photos of the bride with her closest friends and family, but I really have the opportunity to get to know people a little better too. I tend to find this makes the rest of the day seem so easy, like we've all known each other for years! It's one of the reasons I still turn up early (often between 8am and 9am) - none of this 'bridal prep from one hour before the ceremony' here! It's also amazing being able to catch up with so many brilliant suppliers!

For the first image of this set, showing Alisha walking down the aisle, I used a longer lens than I normally would (literally just trying something new) but absolutely love the effect it's given me here; as I'm able to look over the groom's shoulder it gives a better feel for what he was seeing at the time. The longer lens has also allowed me to perfectly capture Alisha's beaming smile! The set of 7 images focuses on the bride and her dad during two of his biggest moments of the day - the first look/reveal and the aisle walk/giving away 🥰

During Giuseppe and Suzanne's wedding at Birtsmorton Court, it had been threatening rain all day - we even got wet a few times, but the couple were lucky enough to be able to have a stunning outdoor ceremony whilst remaining dry!

There are two things I love about the potential of a wet wedding 1) the night-time photos of rain I've become quite well known for and 2) the epic, moody skies that rain clouds bring, especially towards sunset. For these three images I managed to get the bride and groom in just the right place and at just the right time for them to be illuminated by what felt like a very narrow beam of sunlight, peeking through the clouds. The results were so shocking and other-worldly that I had to show the couple on the back of the camera!

I absolutely love shooting weddings at Homme House. I don't know what it is specially but every time I'm there I always seem to have the best light you could hope for as a photographer. For this wedding, the bride and groom were getting ready in adjacent rooms which made the job of capturing both of their mornings absolutely effortless for me. As soon as all of the boys were dressed, we headed down into one of my favourite spots for pre-wedding photos - the gorgeous library, where Max handed out presents to his groomsmen.

Candids are what I do best, and Sophie and Andrew's wedding was an absolute goldmine of opportunities! After a stunning ceremony at Worcester Guildhall, they hosted a cake and champagne hour (essentially a mini reception) before the main party at the Commandery. The size of the room, the gorgeous natural light and the abundance of people getting children to drink from champagne flutes was a dream. (No children were intoxicated in the making of these photos) .worcester
