Some days I just need to be out in the open, away from everything. Just me, the wind and my thoughts. Looking forward to another Scottish road trip later this year.

Looking forward to another workshop at Diglis Island with It is such a fascinating place and has so many photographic opportunities.
It's peaceful now, but there are so many reminders of it's industrial past. The growing pile of old nails, nuts and washers found by volunteers maintaining the island - each one is a link to a person who worked here.

In celebration of the recent awards, and to show not everything goes to plan, here's my cormorant with a starfish!! I was in a boat heading around Puffin Island off Anglesey, when it popped out of the water. Unfortunately, lack of sea-legs, a bumpy sea and the wrong shutter speed resulted in this impressionistic offering. I have found though, if you stare into the background you can see the Sphinx 😂😂😂
As a photographer, you can't take yourself too seriously when nature is involved.

I went for an amazing Bat Walk last night with It was a brilliant experience and we located 5 species of bat. They are amazing creatures and the talk by Matthew was so informative. Walking back, the moon put on a good display and we were all intrigued by this cloud formation. Does anyone know what this effect is called.
