WHO AM I ? (ANNOUNCEMENT BELOW)
It's a slow afternoon here at the KYD-Headquarters, so for those who don't have a clue or unsure as to why this persona exists, here's a Re-Introduction.
I've been an Independent Radio Presenter since September 2013, having previously had shows on Switch Radio, Midlands Metalheads, TBFM/HRH & The Crew. At the start of this year, I was fortunate enough to join the TotalRock Family, so far having done 26 Shows from them over the last 6 Months including Tonight's Edition of 'Darkson's Palace' (7-9pm GMT) which goes out in one hour's time & that's despite having lost 4 weeks due to having contracted Pneumonia at the beginning of March.
I've interviewed over 120 Bands & Artists over the last 13 years as well, including the likes of Judas Priest legend KK Downing, Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach, Feeder's Grant Nicholas & Overkill's Bobby Blitz + many more. Some of them have been backstage, some have been on the Tour-Buses (always enjoyed those ones in particular) and many back in the day were backstage at Download Festival or an HRH Event.
As a Side-Gig, I also do KYD Photography which I'm hoping to take more seriously moving forward.
I've also been a venue DJ on & off since 2014, starting from a summer stint of Monday Nights at Walkabout (which was effectively an apprenticeship of sorts) to being the Resident DJ of the The Hammer & The Anvil (R.I.P) for two & a quarter years before stints at Digbeth Works, The Village, Moseley, Subside Bar & the The Brasshouse on Broad St. Birmingham with Special Guest Appearances at the Cold Store & The Old Salutation Inn (miss that place) up in Nottingham as part of Dogtallica also.
I can also Proudly Announce that I am returning to Ye Olde Foundry - Small Venue Huge Attitude (which Reopens on Saturday) as one of their DJ's having previously been there several times last year.
Confirmed dates so far for this are Saturday 1st (Afterset) & Friday 7th August + Friday 4th & Saturday 19th September

My Favourite Music Genres are Classic/Hard Rock, Metal, Alternative & Old School Indie with dashes of 80s, Goth, Punk, Reggae & Retro Hip-Hop on the side-dish.
I 💛 Soccer, Formula One & Ice Hockey
I'm a Domestic Veggie/Flexitarian who doesn't eat Meat at home (granted I've been a bit slack with this recently but hoping to get that back in place) but won't say no to a Sunday Carvery or an Epic Burger during an all day Drinking Session.
And a Neurospicy Equaliberalist who believes in Freedom of Speech & the Right of the Individual.
