I was lucky enough to get some clear skies last week on my family camping trip at Camp Eden situated at Lowther Castle in the lake district.

Had to wait until all the lights had been turned off from the campsite bar that lit the castle in multiple colours to get these.

Long exposures of around 15-25secs and utilised some painting with light to bring out details in the castle.

The keys to the studio are being handed back today after almost 5years.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCENENT - PLEASE READ

In-Depth Photos will soon be rebranded as a charitable not for profit organisation. I will be working on photo projects that serve the wider community and working along side other charity organisations on important and powerful projects.

I care deeply about the power and importance of photos and will never turn my back on these beliefs.

However it is with great excitement and sadness that I announce the closing of my public facing portrait services (family, pets and newborn).

It has been an amazing five years and I have loved every moment of being able to help create magical and treasured memories for my customers.

The impact of covid has not been kind to any of us, but it has given myself time to reflect and evaluate where I need to be in both business and personal life.

My career is now taking a new direction as I start to utilise more of my skills within visual media that make photography a small part of the overall services I offer.

I hope that you will all stay and keep on supporting In-Depth Photos as it transitions into a not for profit entity and it's upcoming charitable projects.

More details will be announced in the near future.

I finally got around to getting all of our girls baby prints, printed and framed so they all match.

Our eldest two (my step daughters) were printed in sepia and on a white board from a company that went bump a few years ago.

It was always our intention to have them all matching but we just never got around to doing it.

The quality of my reproduction of the older images is honestly far superior to what we had on the wall already.

I fixed some blow out issues where the head merged with the background with some clever photoshop work. Converted to B&W and boosted the clarity and sharpness of the images.

My chosen framing and print supplier worked with me on creating a custom matt for the frame with my chosen frame mould.

Happy is a true understatement.

🎅 Santa is getting really busy now, with his biggest day of the year looming.
