30/03/2013

Iman Barlow takes fighter of the night.

A good show overall. The three round format produced plenty of KO's!

30/03/2013

Headliner Main Fight card Enfusion
Michael Wakeling (Scorpions Gym) vs Pajonsuk Super-Pro (Thailand) 75kg 3x3mins

Round 1

Wakeling is throwing strong combos at a quick pace. Pajonsak has no time to get settled but always replies. Both fighters score kicks. After it looks it is going Wakeling's way, at the end of the round, the Thai rushes forward and a straight left results in Michael getting a standing 8

Round 2

Now both fighters are at it. Wakeling goes forward throwing shots, Pajonsuk swerves and replies. Several times Wakeling scores direct shots to the face, but the Thai just seems unaffected. Pajonsuk just hangs in there and if in doubt clinches round the waist.

Round 3

Er, how tough is this guy? I think Pajnsuk has now taken over 10 clean shots to the face overall and he has swallowed it up as if someone was wiping his brow and keeps on fighting. He is special.

Round 4

Due to the judges not being able to make their minds up, a extra round is called on to decide the winner. If you thought it is a formality for Michael to win, think again, the Thai is taking it to Michael. It is obvious the Thai is in trouble, but he really is a great fighter. They are both mixing it up. Pajonsuk replies to every exchange and manages to throw Michael a couple of times. Wakeling is really smashing those punches.
Fitting fight to end the show.

Result
Unanimous decision after extra round Michael Wakeling

Fifth Fight Main card Enfusion
Iman Barlow vs Alexis Rufus 54kg 5x3mins Enfusion world title

Round 1

Iman is looking up for it. Early on she manages a clean sweep after catching a round house which ends with Alexis on the floor. She also lands clean body kicks to the midriff. Although Rufus is willing to go forward, she is not getting the better of the exchanges.

Round 2

The fight is hotting up and the crowd are getting more vocal. Both fighters are showing they are part of the female elite with their strong shots. More and more Rufus is fighting on the front foot.

Round 3

Rufus has upped the tempo. Rufus is solid as Iman's teeps cant stop her from going forward and she is pressing Iman onto the ropes with strong punches. Rufus ends on the floor though after Iman throws her with skill. Both really use the clinch well and score.

Round 4

As the rounds go on, Rufus is getting stronger. Her straight punches are pushing Barlow back. Iman though is in the fight with her knees in the clinch and lands a teep on to Rufus face. Strangely neither is blocking the low kick

Round 5

Wow, These girls are tough! Its the fifth round and both are throwing and soaking up hard knees like nothing. They are keeping up a fast tempo and continuously working in the clinch. This will be hard to call, Iman is scoring cleaner, but Rufus more.
Best Fight so far! Whatever the result I want to see a rematch.

Result
Unanimous decision Iman Barlow

Fourth Fight Main card Enfusion

Jason Woodham vs Mirrko Moisar (Estonia)

Round 1

Quickly on Jason establishes the pace and keeps it up. Using his greater reach to good effect he follows straight punches with solid knees. Before long Mirrko receives an 8 count

Round 2

Jason carries on how he finished the first. Keeping up a work rate but not really trying to finish it off. Out of Nowhere, Mirrko comes back with a knee of his own and fells Jason who receives an 8 count. Unlike Jason, Mirrko is keen to finish the job and soon the Estonians pressure pays off as a overhand right hook lands clean on the jaw. Jason cant beat the count whilst lying on the floor.
What a come back!

Result
2min7sec Round 2 KO Mirrko Moisar

30/03/2013

Second Fight Main Card Enfusion
Amanda Kelly (KO Gym) vs Fatima Adib (France) 61kg 3x3mins

Round1

Its looking like a mis match. Amanda is following Fatima around the ring and picking off shots at leisure. A game Fatima is firing off punches but no effect. The French womans teeps and pushes herself against the ropes as Amanda is solid.

Round 2

Amanda is firmly in charge. Everyone is waiting for her to put the foot on the pedal and force the issue.

Round 3

Amanda is upping the tempo a bit. Strong straight punches are followed with knees and seems to be looking to get the knee to connect to Fatima's head. Despite all the superiority and being able to score at will Amanda can't get a early end and Fatima survives to the final bell.

Result unanimous decision Amanda Kelly
