With everything that's going on in the World, having time with Nature is so good for us physically and emotionally, this beautiful flowering Cherry Blossom Tree always wows, in Broad St, Wokingham,

Such a beautiful day with sunshine and clear blue skies, it has been today - and tomorrow will be hotter still.

One of the most iconic of steam trains, The Flying Scotsman 60103 pulled by a double HST engines and steaming along. It is going down to Alton for the Mid Hampshire Watercress Heritage Railway.

She was 10 minutes early ahead of schedule passing through Wokingham at 13:35 this afternoon.

She will be at the Watercress Line for a mixture of static and steam displays and running from 10 - 21 March 2026,

Up early to capture the [almost] Full Moon over Wokingham this early Breakfast time on Thursday.

The actual Full Moon occurred on Monday night, but have missed getting a photograph of it with cloud or it not being clear enough.

Each month has a different name many from the Native Americans.

The Full Moon this month is the "Worm" Moon - as with warming ground temperatures means its easier for worms to get around.

That said with so much rain recently, the worms certainly have been plentiful!

What a beautiful Snow day it was in Wokingham on 1st February 2019, it started snowing heavily in the early hours and soon settled creating a beautiful winter wonderland, that later, just had to have a walk in with my friend and I.

Nature is so beautiful.

Eyes fixed intently on what was below him, this magnificent Red Kite soon accepted me being near him on a wildlife walk in Wokingham, just beyond the Gipsy Lane Railway Bridge on the way to Ludgrove further on.

Howard Palmer Gardens, Wokingham where I volunteer with the Friends of Howard Palmer Gardens part of Wokingham In Bloom, looking stunning in the sunlight with the silhouettes of the trees and the frost on the ground still where its not melted.

On this the first Monday of 2026.

Nice day to have a walk by the Kennet and Avon in Reading. Having put out some food for the wildlife i got this action photo of the gulls in flight.

There is a fast moving weir behind the structure in the centre of the photo which the gulls happily perched on as well, the water is lower than on the Canal side part which I was on.

It is both the River Kennet and Kennet and Avon Canal they split alongside themselves in parts but mostly flow together. I am about 1/2 mile or so from the "Kennet Mouth" which is where the River Kennet flows into the mighty River Thames.

Upstream is to my left [of my photo], Downstream and towards the Kennet Mouth is to the right [of my photo].

Merry Christmas to all my friends and FB followers of my photography page.

I am so glad you like my photos, I really enjoy taking them and also making a positive difference helping those in need in the local community whether it's human or wildlife.

May we all have a lovely Christmas time.

My photo is from when we got some very heavy snow in Wokingham [albeit for an hour or so] on Wednesday 19th November 2025.
