I’ve realised I haven’t offered sitter mini sessions in ages.

If you’ve got a baby who is sitting confidently but not yet walking, this is honestly one of my favourite ages to photograph 🤍

Hi 🤍 I realised lots of newer faces are here, so I thought I’d say hello properly.

I’m Rachel - photographer, mum and the person behind the camera.

And if I could tell every new parent one thing, it’s this:

You do not need to have your s**t together before booking photos.

Honestly, most parents arrive feeling nervous.

Worried baby won’t settle.
Worried they’ll feel awkward.
Worried they don’t know what to wear or what to do.

That’s exactly why I do things the way I do.

Thought you’d missed the newborn stage?

This beautiful baby was 8 weeks old 🤍

While the super sleepy curly newborn stage changes as babies get older, that doesn’t mean the chance for beautiful, connected images disappears.

Older babies often bring:
✨ more eye contact
✨ gorgeous expressions
✨ snuggly connection
✨ so much personality

Honestly? That’s one of the biggest worries expectant mums share with me before booking.

And the truth is… babies do cry. They feed. They need cuddles. They pause.

That’s not a failed session.

My newborn sessions are intentionally calm, baby-led, and designed to feel easy - even if you’re running on very little sleep.

No pressure for a “perfect” baby.
No rushing.
No wondering what you’re supposed to do.

I gently guide everything, and some of the most meaningful images happen in the quiet in-between moments 🤍

Honestly? Most mums arrive saying:
“I’m worried this is going to feel awkward…”

And I completely get it.

You’ve just had a baby.
You’re exhausted.
You probably don’t feel fully “you” yet.

That’s why my sessions are designed to feel calm, relaxed and completely pressure-free.

No stiff posing.
No complicated setups.
No expectation for a “perfect” baby.

Just natural moments, gentle guidance and space to simply be with your little one.
