I've had a passion for the outdoors for as long as I can remember, being brought up on the remote Isle of Barra in the Outer Hebrides during the late 70's & early 80's, I recall youthful days spent wild, running around all over the island whatever the weather. I also recall taking loads of photos with an old 110 film camera, the anticipation of waiting for the processed shots to be returned, then

taping them together with sellotape to create a vast panoramic of a glorious sunset I'd witnessed! Many years (and a lot of travelling) later, I'm now settled in Windsor with my wife and 4 kids, enjoying photography whether taking landscape, wildlife, sports or astro images. Photography to me is much more than just a picture - it stirs emotions and memories, visions and dreams, passions and desires. It is a window, opening our eyes not only to the world that surrounds us but also to the soul within us. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I have enjoyed taking them and look forward to hearing from you!

This wee fella is only about 1cm long - not totally sure of the ID but Google seems to suggest it's a Cinnamon Bug (Corizus hyoscyami) - I learn something new everyday!
It was just hanging around in the garden, waiting for me to come out with the camera 🙂
