I just love candid shots, capturing people in their most natural state.
Taking candid shots at weddings is wonderful as people are often most expressive - having fun, crying happily or greeting friends and relatives. The best time to take these shots is when people arrive at the church or ceremony venue, whilst having drinks and canapés or during the speeches - then of course there is the dancing, when everyone relaxes.

I often use a 70-200mm zoom lens for these shots, at 200mm with a wide f stop maybe f/2.8 the subject pops and the background blurs - it’s magical. Have a look at these from Keara and Alfie’s farmers’ wedding a few weeks ago in Micheldever, Hampshire. 🚜 🌾 🌾

It’s been a hell of a Summer for weddings - I’ve barely needed to put my dozen or so clear umbrellas in my car this year.
We’ve been so lucky !

Congratulations to Amy and Harry who got married in Longparish St Nicholas Church on Saturday.

What a wonderful day - sooo much love and equal amounts of fun. Laughter was definitely on the menu the whole day. There was so much happening as well …. from new personalised number plates (photo 1), a bride and groom yurt tent (photos 2 & 3), dogs, a sheep, a hen and a donkey (photo 4), shout out to Archie and Ava (absolute stars). There was the biggest flower arch I’ve ever seen (photo 6) and a whole aisle of the most beautiful flowers . Photo 7 …..the speeches, the most hilarious I’ve heard in a long time. Then there was the four bridesmaids - so helpful and what more can a bride want than a sister as your best friend who also gets the job done (photo 8) - the whole magical day was finished off with a sparkler arch and fireworks (photos 9 & 10)

Summer holidays can start off quite daunting can’t they ? All those weeks ahead of you to keep your little ones occupied. But at this age they love the simple pleasures - cooking is one of them. Part of this family photoshoot included a baking session as this is one of the activities Tracey and her daughter do together frequently. It was good opportunity to capture some lovely natural shots and …..the ginger bread men tasted delicious.

This was a fun shoot. The many faces of .patelowen a wonderful, high achievers mindset coach, she practises Bhakti Yoga and is spiritually inspired. Check some of Nemisha’s videos of wisdom and inspiration .patelowen
This was a personal branding shoot where there were multiple costume changes but at one venue, I meet the needs of my client so they get what what they want from the shoot. Personal branding photography is all about making you more visible to your potential clients….and showing the real you !

Alfie and Keara’s wedding was a windy one but we were so lucky not to have rain and it made for some fun veil photos. Keara’s veil stayed up for at least 5 seconds once the wind had worked its magic.
