When on Koh Tao……become a certified diver!

This was certainly a new experience for me, one that I was very anxious about but also very glad that I did it!

Having done a couple of “fun dives” with friends in Indonesia and gotten hooked, I decided to head back to Thailand and venture over to Koh Tao to do my Basic Open Water 20 dive certification!

This photo was captured by Lee Jellyman (Mocean Images) who is a fantastic videographer! Definitely give his page a follow, unreal work!

Has anyone else been diving in Thailand? 🐠

St Joseph’s Church - Ayutthaya, Thailand 🇹🇭

Founded in 1666, St. Joseph’s Church served as the center of the French Catholic mission for about a century until Ayutthaya was destroyed by the Burmese in 1767.

Having been rebuilt and renovated several times, St. Joseph’s remains an active church to this day where mass is held every Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

During my second visit to Krabi, I arranged through my hostel to go on a half-day kayaking tour through the nearby mangroves and lakes.

Usually these types of tours have multiple people on them but amazingly, on the day that I went, I was the only person!

It was just me and my local tour guide…….who only knew a few words of English (having said that his English was better than my Thai 🙈), which made communication a little difficult but also a good laugh! It was as if we were playing a game of Pictionary most of the time!

Whilst we were exploring the mangroves I was almost eaten by Godzilla!

Well, when I say ‘almost eaten by Godzilla’, I actually mean given a suggestive look by pretty fierce looking Monitor Lizard! After it turned away I managed to get a quick video of this impressive beast!

Have you come across anything like this on your travels? Let me know below! ⬇️

A spectacular sunset on Tonsai! 🌅

Located within the Krabi Province at the south-west of the country, Tonsai is a small remote costal settlement nestled in between Railay and Ao Nang.

There are only two ways to access the settlement at Tonsai, however both do envolve taking a traditional long boat.

Your options are either:

• Take a long boat from nearby Ao Nang directly to Tonsai Beach.

OR

• Take a long boat from Krabi Town to Railay and then proceed by foot through the “jungle” for approximately an hour until you reach the settlement*.

* Pay attention to the map on your phone when hiking from Railay to Tonsai, it’s very easy to take a wrong turn without realising and soon end up lost! 😱

Hey everyone,

I have been fortunate enough to have travel extensively during my life, especially the last few years.

In 2017, I left my 9-5 office job, booked a one way ticket to Bangkok…… and thus began one of the biggest adventures I’ve ever been on.

I look forward to sharing more about my travels with you all.

Thank you for being here!

Liam
