Natural business storytelling photography with clothes designer and maker Gunta Andrews in her Bishop’s Stortford studio.
Rather than setting up a formal portrait session, I asked Gunta to carry on with her work while I photographed what happened.
The aim was to show the concentration, skill and small details behind what she does: cutting, pinning, sewing, fitting, tools, machines and the hands that make everything happen.
Gunta said:
“You have captured me in ways that I don’t see myself, but which are so much more authentic and natural. You really do have immense skill in capturing the honest, ‘in-between’ expressions of people, which in turn produces images that speak volumes about a person.”
This is natural, documentary photography for local makers, craftspeople and independent businesses around Bishop’s Stortford and Stansted Mountfitchet. Photographs of the person, the work and the character behind the business.
If you run a small independent business, or know a local maker or craftsperson who might suit this kind of photography, please send me a message or pass this on to them.
Thank you, Gunta, for trusting me.
