~ The Tree and the Lighthouse ~
A composition i have been planning for a while now. Adding to my series of old withered trees at night.
Having established the composition and focal length earlier in the week whilst still light. I returned during the very early hours of this morning to shoot in the clear dark conditions, though quite windy, and a little scary.
A little under a mile hiking with a very heavy camera bag across fields and passing through countless groups of sheep with eerie glowing eyes illuminated by my head torch, I finally arrived at the tree and set up.
Firstly exposing and light painting for the foreground and establishing the position of the milky way, I then moved the camera past the tree, activated my tracker to capture 4 two minute exposures for the milky way.
Final composition pieced together using Siril stacking software, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
