Just when I was about to retire my camera gear this summer, I got a few requests for some spring time shoots. What better timing than this weekend; with the weather being truly perfect.
So perfect in fact, they lit up my clients beautifully.
Elsie and her gorgeous Mum, Amy, climbed (what felt like) 93462376573 steps to get to Rivingtons hidden treasure - The Terraced Gardens. There is no better scenery in this area that provides endless backdrops.

Meet Lady Annabelle.

Oh my, she is a DREAM. The tiniest features and the most alert baby I have ever had the privilege of taking photos of.

Her Mummy and Daddy are besotted with her but secretly, I think Im in love with her more.

Just a quick update about the photography I do.
I’m receiving a high volume of calls about weddings but I no longer do them.
I specialise in newborns, maternity, children and dance. Well behaved pets, too. Although I will consider anything additional.
The light is especially golden at this time of year (clear days), so if you like the warmth and tone it brings, why not book an outdoor shoot before the last of the leaves fall?

An old friend and client of mine asked me if I would take pictures of her newborn when she came into the world.
Due to the most dreadful complications that Dani suffered during delivery, I was unable to meet Hallie until today.
Newborns are ideally photographed within 10 days but day 15 shows she was still pliable and supposedly sleepy. NOPE! Miss Hallie had me put in my place and hanging around for several hours.
I didn't mind one bit.
Despite Dani having had invasive surgery after the birth, I think she looks incredibly beautiful, holding the love of her life.
Dad, lee, got in on the shoot too.
These are just a few of my favourites.

Its been a few years since I had the opportunity to take newborn pics. This little spud is just 6 days old and quite the most tiniest little lady I have ever photographed. She behaved wonderfully even with the ususal 3 p's making an appearance during the shoot - haha!
With patience and reassurance for her lovely Mummy, we managed to get a good number of images but these two are my favourite.

If you’re thinking of booking a newborn shoot, I need to book a session with 9 days of your baby being born. I work around your schedule and I am patient waiting for your baby to settle between feeds and changes. I offer lots of reassurance and cuddles for your little one - that, to me, is the best part of my job!;

I have a niche photography page for dance photography, too.
Outdoor, contemporary, urban......something different to cramped and uninspiring studio images. A place for dancers to be themselves, free, floaty- light.

A couple of times a year I rent a loft style warehouse area which has the look and feel of a vintage Russian ballet school, too.

Well, it's been sometime.
As I'm dusting off my cameras in readiness for brighter weather I thought I'd share 2 images from a lovely shoot I did with Rachel and her family - erm, a good while back. Troy has grown somewhat and even a sibling has appeared since then!
Can't wait to meet more families and babies and cuteness this year.
