Wigan 10 Team meeting last night in our new permanent location. We were picking our entry for this year's PAGB Inter-Club PDI Championship taking place in Warwick on the 21 July. Really good night as it always is on our regular face to face meetings. Present were KT, Phil, Paul, Robert, Suzannah, Eddie, Roger, Lynda, Janey and Marco (on Zoom). 40 images selected and the first round 8 picked out.

2023 FIAP World Cup Results have been released.

Wigan 10 was placed 2nd out of 226 clubs that participated from around the world, winning the gold medal! Paul Statter also won an Honourable Mention individual award out of the 4486 images entered, which is an incredible achievement.

Wigan 10 has won the World Cup four times: 2006, 2012, 2013 and 2014

Wigan 10 has won the gold medal coming second place seven times: 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023

Wigan 10 has won the Maurice Dorikens Trophy (most consistent club over the previous five years) ten times: 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2023

Well done team for the support, selection and images put forward for this competition.

Congratulations to New World (RU) who won first place winning the trophy and Catchlight Camera Club (UK) who won the silver medal. Also Smethwick Photographic Society and Rolls Royce Derby Photographic Society who positioned in the top ten clubs.

Very happy to have been awarded AWPF (Associateship of the Welsh Photographic Federation) and join my club colleagues Lynne and Janey who also hold that Distinction. My hanging Plan is attached. This is a worthwhile award and I would recommend fellow photographers to have a crack at it too.

Big thank you to the organisers, judges and all the helpers for running Warwick. Would really encourage as many photographers as possible to attend this event, wether your club qualifies or not as it is a great experience!

Congratulations Chorley on their joint first place. Lots of successful images throughout the LCPU clubs and the UK.

Robert Millin - Good day out at the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum on mini club outing with Lynda - weather wasn't great but there was a good turnout of Steam Punks. It did look at times as if there were more photographers though - met photographer friends from Ellesmere Port, Bebington, Frodsham, Knutsford and Hoylake (and some others!!).This guy had a working Sony camera nicely disguised in his Steam Punk camera...............clever!!

Robert Millin - good weekend with the camera. Saturday at ComicCon in Liverpool and Sunday Jet Skiing at Southport. Two shoots couldn't have been more different. But both had great fun in common.......
