When you’re welcoming a tiny new person into the world, it’s the little things that make the memories so special...the tiny toes, delicate fingers, wisps of hair, button noses and all those beautiful details you’ll want to remember forever.

Every single detail behind the scenes of your newborn session is carefully considered. From preparing your session and creating a calm, comfortable space, to gently guiding you through the photoshoot and making sure nothing feels rushed or overwhelming.

Letting your baby stretch a bit at the beginning of a newborn session enables me capture some really cute shots but it's also a technique I use to get your baby ready for their photoshoot.

Letting your baby get comfortable and use some energy, whilst adjusting to the surroundings, helps your baby to settle for longer and get into a deeper sleep.

This means your baby will be happy and content as I work with them throughout the session.

What you don't see in the finished photographs... 🤍

The gentle rocking.
The settling.
The pauses for cuddles.
The time spent helping your baby feel calm, comfortable and safe.

During a newborn session, I'm not constantly moving or repositioning your baby. In fact, I do the opposite.

Once your little one is settled, I work carefully around them, capturing every tiny detail and every angle I can with as little disturbance as possible.

Those sleepy eyelashes.
The way their fingers curl around yours.
The connection between you and your baby.
The tiny features that change so quickly in those first few weeks.

The result is a relaxed experience for both baby and parents, and natural photographs that preserve exactly who they were in those fleeting newborn days.

It's not about complicated poses.
It's about patience, connection and letting babies be babies.
