Two tiny babies, twice the love and some very special memories to capture. 🤍

If you're expecting twins, you might be wondering what a newborn photoshoot with two babies actually looks like.

After 12 years of photographing newborns, I've learnt that patience, experience and a gentle approach make all the difference.

Twin sessions are never rushed. I follow both babies' needs, allowing plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and settling whenever needed.

There's no pressure for everything to happen at once. We simply take our time and capture those beautiful little details, those first connections and the special bond between your two babies.

Baby sessions are great for capturing those big personalities coming out in your little person.

Inquisitive looks, emerging smiles and chubby little fingers are all priceless memories to keep.

Gosh, life has taken over a bit and social media has taken a bit of a back seat. There has still been an awful lot going on behind the scenes; studio sessions, outdoor sessions and the all important (and mammoth) task of getting the Christmas set ready for mini sessions.

Changes are ahead, but I'll let everyone know more about that as things become a bit clearer. Exciting times!

🤍 A little heads-up as we head into the busiest time of year…

From now through to Christmas, the studio diary fills up very quickly.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a newborn, baby, maternity or cake smash session, now is a good time to get in touch.

I only take on a limited number of sessions each month, and once those dates are filled, I can’t always squeeze in another one, especially as we get closer to Christmas.

So if you’d love some beautiful new photographs of your little one before Christmas, don’t leave it until the last minute. 🤍

Whether your baby is due soon, you have a birthday coming up, or you simply want to capture this stage before the year comes to an end, I’d love to photograph it for you.

“But… how will you photograph TWO babies at once?” 🤍

If you’re expecting twins, you might be wondering whether a newborn photoshoot is even realistic.

Two tiny babies. Two different personalities. Two different feeding and sleeping patterns. And the thought of trying to get them both settled at the same time can feel a little overwhelming!

But here’s the thing…

You don’t need to bring two perfectly sleepy, settled babies to your session.

Your babies are allowed to fuss. They’re allowed to need feeding. They’re allowed to need cuddles, winding, changing and a little extra time to settle.

We simply work around them.

I allow plenty of time during twin newborn sessions, so there’s no rushing if one baby needs some attention while we’re photographing the other. And often, those little in-between moments, a baby being cuddled, tiny fingers holding onto each other, or both babies snuggled close, end up being some of the most beautiful photographs.

We’ll capture the two of them together, but we’ll also make sure each baby gets their own little moment too.

And you don't have to know how to pose them or worry about whether they’ll cooperate. That’s my job. 🥰

Your only job is to bring your babies, enjoy the cuddles and let me take care of the rest.

So if you’re expecting twins and feeling a little nervous about bringing two newborns into the studio, please know that you are very welcome here. 🤍

It might feel like a lot to you right now… but I promise, we’ll take it one baby (and one cuddle!) at a time.

Twins are twice the tiny toes, twice the cuddles and twice the magic.✨

🤍 When should you book your newborn session?

If you’re expecting and thinking about newborn photographs, you might be wondering when you should get in touch.

My usual recommendation is after your 20 week scan. This gives us plenty of time to get everything arranged before your little one arrives.

I only take a limited number of newborn sessions each month, so booking during pregnancy gives you the best chance of securing a space around your due date. ✨

But please don’t feel pressured if you’re not ready to book yet. I completely understand that every pregnancy and every family is different. Whether you have personal or religious reasons for waiting, or you’ve had a difficult pregnancy and simply want to wait until your baby is here, that’s absolutely okay. 🤍

And if your baby has already arrived, please still get in touch! I’ll always do my best to accommodate you if I have a space available.

This session was about so many things, but most of all, it was a celebration of the three of them. A family of three, about to become a family of four.

Capturing those beautiful last moments before baby arrives, and all the love, laughter and connection that comes with them.

A maternity shoot, but make it fun. ✨

Because this chapter deserves to be remembered for all the joy it holds.
