a december day pottering around london, starting on a snowy clapham common, with tom, josh and toby.

i believe that the loves of our lives can be so many, and tom is one of mine. we've known each other for twenty years (!!) since we met at school, and we've been giggling together ever since. to witness a friend you treasure, like properly adore, find a person who feels that way about them too, in a whole new way, is a deep privilege and seeing these two now, after watching each of their milestones and changes has been a joy.

josh is generous, has a sense of humour that winks at you and makes me feel like i'm being let in on a secret. an excellent cook, one of the most crafty people i know and someone who has always seemed to predict exactly what i've needed when i've turned up at his home in a tangle of camera bags and layers and tired eyes. tom has a capacity for connections and community that feels endless, a toasty warm energy that wraps you up with him and has been a safe port in any storm i've found myself in. to know these two is to love 'em.

at their wedding, tom read out a list of names and then asked us to stand up. he then turned to josh and told him that these were the people he told during their first year together, that he felt he was going to marry this man. i was standing. what an honour to look across that room, and every room since, and see how you love. thank you thank you thank you.

an evening spent with harriet and ben (and kipper!!), aka the incredibly talented Farlam & Chandler, tiptoeing into golden hour in their beautiful garden.

these three are just some of the many friendships i've been lucky enough to find over the years working on my local high street (shout out to the wonderful Staines Farm Shop!). just the best gift. they came in as customers, with kipper as a puppy in the sweetest little sling, and i gradually heard more about their lives, and the beautiful work they create together. that led to them asking me to spend an evening capturing little moments, exploring all the corners of their garden, with the yellow roses and water and teeny bridge, the greenhouse and the way that wherever you chose to sit and look out from gave you a different experience, but always magic. a joy to be in a space so thoughtfully designed, and lovingly cared for. we need people who work with, not against, green spaces, now more than ever, and harriet and ben do that with such heart. superstars.

a sun drenched day in july spent with charlie and sam, reading their baby shower cards, in the same kitchen i first met them in nearly three years ago.

these two are an example of many things. of how much recommendations mean, and how far kind words ripple outwards, and of how the care you give can come back to you a thousand times over. they also seem to go to even more weddings than me, which is just testament to how key their presence is in so many lives. charlie has the most infectious laugh, an enthusiasm for life and love and capturing it that you can't help but happily be pulled along by, like a strong spring wind. sam is creative, kind, sharp and funny, and truly the host with the most. seeing their friends and family with them, you can feel this fizz of adoration, and a constant unspoken reciprocal ‘remember i love you.’

i visited them in their flat on a blustery day in october in 2023 and the immediate warmth and unbridled enthusiasm (i always feel an instant connection with anyone who uses !!! as much as me!) i’d felt over emails and the phone was there in full technicolour in person. sam made us cocktails, then we wandered in the woods with the soppiest dog ever, their lola, to mark their engagement. six months later i photographed their wedding, and now i’ve had the privilege of preserving a day so close to them welcoming their little one. in that time they’ve recommended me to friends, who have then recommended me to siblings and this beautiful little tree of connections and support has just grown. what a gift!!

to be able to spend an afternoon capturing moments, having drinks in the garden and cuddles with a pup, and call it work, is a privilege. to get to do it for friends too? a dream.

after years of it being on my to do list, i've finally given my website a big ol' rejig!

a new handwritten name, a celebration of your stories and kind words, and a love letter to some of the people i treasure most in the world. there's plenty of moments to share and tweaks i'd like to make, but it feels like me, and that's pretty lovely.

a guernsey sunset with these two sweethearts, just a few days after their wedding. wind whipping our hair, the colours changing every moment, the smell of salt and warmth. pure joy!!

moments in time from zoë and mike's first celebration. this was the centre of the day, but the heart of it was in every minute i spent with them, and their properly wonderful friends and family. love in all it's forms woven into each detail, from mike's friend tucked away on a little balcony making music while he listened, to zoë wearing her beautiful mum's tiara, while the pictures of her stood at the very front of the church, watching her daughter be adored so completely. arriving in a camper van to a field of curious cows, while i was brought by the sweetest guests who squished me and my cameras into the last seat of a fiat five hundred, giggling for the whole drive.

if a picture book editor and an opera singer sounds like the most wholesome, paddington character esque pairing, it's because it is. zoë and mike are people that seem to make everyone feel like someone, both of them having this endless well of time and gratitude and patience for other people that i witnessed throughout their wedding days, but also experienced in every conversation we had leading up to them, from the very first one.

i feel that when you have an open heart, people you meet along the way will often open theirs too. these two did that, a hundred times over. just the best days. and if this sounds a bit like a love letter, it's because it kinda is.

well, hello you lovely lot.

as we tiptoe into another summer, and the roses outside my door carpet the path with petals before they flower again, it feels like a time for beginnings. it's been a long time since i've shared anything here, and it feels really special to finally, gently open the door again.

i began photographing in 2018, in the thick of grief after losing my dad very suddenly. dad loved a picture, captured some of his biggest adventures on a film camera held together with duct tape, and so what began as a way to try to feel closer to his life, and less adrift in my own, eventually became this. my mum had also given me the gift of real magic, time travel i can experience through a childhood so lovingly documented by her, making me feel a pull to try and do the same for other people. from there, taking portraits by candlelight in my bedroom and my first weddings for and , led to the past eight years of countless 'how bloody lucky am i' moments, and delirious, very often teary, gratefulness.

to have felt so at home photographing is testament to the people who have let me in over the years. this 'business' can be so deeply infused with kindness, and i've been at the receiving end of it again and again. to be chosen and trusted, to share meals and tears and coach journeys and dances and road trips and hugs and laugh until you cry moments and holidays and all sorts of things i never expected could come with this, has been the greatest gift. thank you, thank you, thank you.
