Some of my favourites from the Battle of the Bands competition a few weeks ago.

Around 15 bands of young musicians came together at the Hive in Winsford to compete for their chance to perform at Deva Fest this summer.

The low light conditions, fast paced stage lights and quick turn around time between bands, provided a fun challenge, mixed in with a packed and excitable crowd.

Was such a pleasure to see these young musicians playing their hearts out. Fantastic performances all round and congratulations to the winners.

An exciting Saturday shooting the Battle of the Bands competition at the Hive in Winsford.

Bands of young musicians from all over Cheshire came together for a full afternoon (and evening) of live music, it was fabulous.

A selection of 13 Photographs requested by Jake the drummer. He's working on his own project and needed some portraits.

We met at Fox Barn Studios in Winsford, had a brief chat about what he wanted and we got busy creating some images.

Natural:
Not too far away from the RAW output

Cooler:
To bring out the flesh tones whilst cooling down the background

Black and white:
Accentuating the light source from the left
