I know lots of people were enjoying Orion Sphere and this is the only way it can run this year (stupid pandemic) so check this out. And please share cause algorithms etc

OSLRP Digital Chapter 1 is go! Get your crews ready!

We're going to run four 3-hour online events on both days of the July 10-11th and 17-18th weekends. There are 5 available scenarios, one for each Faction and one for the MegaCorps, with scope to run each one more than once if interest and slots allow.
You can use the form linked on the Orion Sphere website (link in comments) to sign up for a slot, and we'll send out the payment details for each slot once we have enough players to make the scenario viable. There's a page on the wiki which lays out the booking process in full, and shows the current booking levels.

Sessions will be run using the Empty Epsilon variant developed by UK Starship Bridge Simulator and Discord for voice chat. Each 3-hour session costs £10 per player, which should help us pay for ongoing costs and make sure we're in a healthy state to run events in 2022. There will also be a 1-hour facilitated practice session that you can sign up to separately, to help people who are new to the game, haven't used the simulator before, or are just a bit rusty. We'll be using these sessions to develop the simulator between Chapters, so hopefully there will be new features and improvements to functionality before we hit the field next year.

From bats to owls, from old trees to young ones, from rabbits to buzzards, this area is full of biodiversity. It is an extension of the nature reserve where people can come for some peace of mind, to walk their dogs and meet others in the community.

This wild space gives residents of Cardiff North a much needed break from city life and the noisy traffic of the M4 - not a mile away from the head of the site. It gives us a barrier of clean air and space to be in wilderness, something unheard of in cities.

It helps us achieve our Paris Agreement Goals. It will help us keep our mental and physical health together. And it gives nature a home in a constantly expanding city.

Why build the hospital here when 3/4s of the patients are from outside Cardiff? We are asking the above mentioned to cancel the plan, move the Hospital to a relevant site and protect Nature in Cardiff North.

Just 2 weeks to go to this! I'll be there as a ref I'm really curious to see how it goes! Should be really interesting! A mix between LARP and board games! Still a few tickets going if you can make it check out Hexheart Games for more info.

I know I have a fair few gamers on here, so this might be of interest to you.

We're gauging interest for a run of our first megagame, From Within, in Cardiff on the weekend of the 16th of November later this year. The game requires about 20 players to be viable, but can accommodate up to 52 for a really solid experience. If we get enough reservations by the end of September then we'll be up and running and able to release more details and finalise the venue.

If you are interested in coming along, please get in touch or reserve a place. Similarly, if you know a person or group that it might be worth sharing to, it would be really appreciated.

About the Game:

From Within is a sci-fi epic about warring galactic empires in a time of rising rebellion. Players represent the imperial governments, the rebels, pirate leaders or one of 4 mysterious ascended alien powers. Each Faction must find allies and trade partners to grow their influence and power while fighting off the advances of their enemies as galactic tensions rise to a crescendo.

You can sign up either as a team, or an individual and we'll try and slot you into a role according to your preference. Tickets will be £25, which is only required once we have enough sign-ups for the game to run. Referees (Control) get their entry fee refunded on the day.
