'Death by Canapé'

The first new 'miniature worlds' image I've done for quite a while ... this one is inspired by the title of the brand new cosy crime novel by Faith Eckersall, due to be launched at The King's Arms Hotel in Dorchester on Tuesday (16th June 2026).

In a world before Teasel & Skylark Books existed (shudder ...) I was a freelance writer and photographer and you may have seen me at various Dorset arts and craft shows with, amongst other photography, my miniature world images which always proved popular.

Faith's novels are set in the wonderfully named Piddlington Minster in a fictional version of Dorset and they are the perfect summer read - funny, clever and with great characters. We are offering the first two books in the series at 25% discount during Independent Bookshop Week ... and if you buy a ticket for the book launch for £5 you get a £5 voucher to spend on the book! Portland Bill Sunrise.
My only Christmas weekend show this year is at Bryanston School in Blandford this weekend (22 and 23 November) - open between 10am and 4pm, I will be located in the Grosvenor Room in the main building. I'll have a range of mounted prints, wall art, photobooks, collages, and calendars ('A Year in Dorset' and 'Miniature Worlds'). It's always a great show with loads of gift ideas and it's my only Christmas market this year so come and say hello.

Swanage Sunrise 2025.

I'm excited to be selling at the Sturminster Newton Cheese Festival over the weekend. It's my first event for a while - since opening Teasel & Skylark Bookshop, so it will be good to get out and about in the Dorset countryside and chat about photography. I'm in the art & craft marquee, so pop in and say hello if you're going. It's always a great event, lots of fun, and loads of great producers and artists. It may be a little drizzly, but who cares when the atmosphere is so good? 😃🧀

I'm so excited to announce that I have opened a new Independent Bookshop in Dorchester. It is called Teasel & Skylark and it has a handpicked selection of books with a focus on all things outdoors as well as a thoughtfully curated children's section, reference, and contemporary fiction. The shop has a small selection of gifts and art from local artists so do pop in and take a look around if you're in Dorchester.

I will continue to sell my photographic prints, calendars, photobooks, and greeting cards on my own website but they'll also now be available in the shop instead of at shows - although I will still be doing the occasional craft fair and Christmas market. Thanks to everyone who has supported my stall over the past eight years and I hope to see you in Teasel & Skylark soon! 😃

Apologies to anyone who was expecting to see me at the DACA Exhibition in Wareham this weekend - I had to pull out of the event quite late in the day due to a massive project that I have been working on with deadlines that I could not move, leaving me unable to commit to the 4 days of the show. Details of the new project coming very soon now - thanks for understanding. 🙂

Sunrise over Weymouth Harbour.
I'll be selling at the Bryanston Craft & Food Show this weekend. It's a great venue and always has loads of fantastic makers and artists selling a range of goods so do check it out if you can. It's open between 10 and 5 on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May.
I'll be taking my collages, wall-art, mounted prints, greeting cards, photobooks as well as my only-just-back-from-the-printers 'A Year in Dorset' 2026 calendar (... it's never too early!)
I'll be somewhere in the Dorchester Room inside the main building so come find me and say hello if you're going.

A brand new day begins - Portland Castle, Dorset.

I've not been posting much on here lately but things have been really busy and I have lots of new stuff coming up in the next few months ... so thanks for your continued support. In the meantime, my next sales event is at Bryanston School over the weekend of 24 / 25 May and I hope to see some of you there - it's a great event run by Wessex Events and there are always loads of local artists and producers there.
