Coming up on Sunday 21st June is the 'Festival of the Bilge' at Standlake Arena, I have been looking forward to this since midway through the mini metal classic meeting for teen streets back in February when the thought went 'Why don't we try this for adults', and with a fair bit of interest shown so far I can see this being a fun day out

I often get asked in my 30+ years of watching banger racing that question 'What's the best meeting you've ever seen', as much as the All Granada's at Arena Essex in 2013, the Steamer meeting at Mildenhall in 2012, or that Blockbuster meeting in 2011 all stand out, there was one that stood out even more, The 'Ringwood Granada Meeting' on 14th May 2016, the atmosphere in the pits before the meeting and when stood in the centre taking photos, the action on track {even if most was the opposite end to me} us photographers coming together after each race to show each other the amazing images we caught during that race, this meeting will always stand out to me, and today marks the 10 year anniversary of that very meeting

A friend has organised a drop in classic/vintage vehicle event for this Sunday, drop in meaning pop in for 20mins or turn up and stay 10-1pm, very much up to you, so if you have something interesting, and would like to get out to enjoy the nice weather, why not pop along

This Sunday 15th March, see's Standlake Arena hold the inaugural 'Oddball Motors GP' for back2basic Unlimited Bangers and under 1800s, with rewards for those that dig out the most unusual cars for the day, its sure to cause a raised eyebrow or two over what drives onto track come start time
