There is something so magical about photographing children in their own home. Their safe space. The place where little feet run through the kitchen, where flour ends up absolutely everywhere, and where the sweetest memories are made without anyone even realising it.

Baking together feels like stepping into nostalgia. Recipes scribbled onto old cards, passed down through generations. Tiny hands mixing ingredients while sneaking chocolate chips when they think nobody is looking. The smell drifting from the oven that instantly makes a house feel warm and full of love. And of course, the best part… licking the bowl before the cake even makes it in.

These are the moments worth remembering. Not perfect poses or spotless kitchens. Just real life, real connection, and the kind of memories your children will one day look back on and feel all over again. That’s the magic of in-home family photography.

There’s something really special about being asked to photograph another photographer. It’s an honour that never feels lost on me, and this session was one I’ll hold onto for a long time.

These two were so effortlessly connected. Calm, gentle, completely themselves with each other. The kind of love that doesn’t need forcing or posing because it’s already there in every look and every touch. They truly feel like two halves of the same puzzle.

Watching them together and capturing this season before they meet their little one felt incredibly special. Their baby is already so deeply loved, and I know they are going to be the most wonderful parents.

So grateful you trusted me with these memories. Thank you for letting me document such a beautiful chapter for your family.

I always find it strange how people seem to think there is an age where family photos just… stop.

When children are tiny, we document everything. The cuddles, the chaos, the missing teeth, the sleepy newborn stretches. But somewhere along the way, life gets busy. Children get older, schedules fill up, and I think a lot of parents quietly assume their children won’t want photos anymore. Maybe it feels embarrassing. Maybe it feels unnecessary. Maybe there just never feels like enough time.

But these moments matter just as much.

This evening up at the White Horse in Westbury reminded me of that so deeply. Watching this family laugh together, cuddle, run around and simply enjoy being with each other felt so special. These photographs are not just for now. They are for years from now, when this season of life feels like a blur and these little moments become the ones you miss the most.

Your children are never too old for photographs with you.In fact, I think that’s when they start meaning even more.

I’ve been spending the last few days location checking all of my favourite wildflower spots around Wiltshire and near Bath to see how they’re coming along for summer sessions.

And I’m so excited to say… the daisy field is back again this year! Seeing those beautiful white flowers returning always makes me so happy, and I’ll definitely be offering daisy field photography sessions again this season.

My buttercup field is starting to turn beautifully golden, and the cow parsley meadow is already looking soft, wild and dreamy too. Honestly, this is one of the most magical times of year for outdoor photography in Wiltshire and Bath.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a family photoshoot, maternity session or motherhood photography session in one of these stunning natural locations, now is the perfect time to get in touch.

These wildflower fields only bloom for such a short season each year, which makes them feel even more special.

This weekend is one of those that reminds me exactly why I love what I do. I am leaving the wilds of Wiltshire and heading further afield!

I’m photographing the loveliest family session for a fellow photographer. We’re planning a cosy baking photoshoot with her and her three children, followed by the sweetest little “washing up” moment full of bubbles in my tin bath. It’s going to be full of floury hands, giggles, and all those beautifully imperfect, real-life moments I’m always drawn to.

Then I’m heading over to Wales for an engagement session with the most gorgeous couple, and I honestly cannot wait to capture their story in such a beautiful setting.

I was chatting to someone yesterday about my journey into maternity photography… and somehow we ended up deep in conversation about fertility, the body, and all the things no one really tells you until you are trying to fall pregnant.

And I shared something that completely blew my mind when I first learned it…

Your ovaries are not actually connected to your fallopian tubes….let that sink in.

I remember saying it out loud and then just pausing like…
“Wait, how does that even work then?!”

When you ovulate, the egg is released into your body and the fallopian tube has these tiny finger-like ends that basically catch it.

Yes………Catch it!!!!!!

Honestly… the fact that any of us are even here feels a bit miraculous when you think about it too long.

It really made me reflect on everything I went through. All the questions, the confusion, the moments of “why is this so hard?”… and then realising just how many tiny, intricate things have to line up perfectly.

And what got me even more… was her reaction. She had no idea.
And I thought, how many of us don’t know this?

Not because we’ve missed something… but because no one ever really explains our bodies to us in a way that sticks.

It’s wild. And also kind of beautiful. And frustrating. All at once.

Anyway… that was my “yesterday I learned” moment that I can’t stop thinking about.

This newborn gallery is next up on my editing list.

I always do everything I can to make sure your maternity images are ready before your baby arrives. There’s something really special about seeing what your body is doing in that moment… I hope it helps you feel strong, capable, and a little more connected to the journey before birth.

But honestly, the best part of this whole experience? After we’d been out shooting in the freezing cold and rain for a little bit, her little boy made me a hot chocolate… and I loved it. Then when I came back for their newborn session, he insisted we have another one together.

That’s exactly what I mean when I talk about building trust with your children, not just turning up to take photos. I want them to remember me. To feel comfortable, to have fun… and yes, maybe a little bit of bribery involved too.

There’s something I want to say that I don’t think gets said enough…

You don’t have to agree to sharing your images on my social media.

Not before your session. Not even after.

I know it can feel like part of the deal, like you’re expected to say yes from the start. But the truth is, you’re allowed to wait. You’re allowed to see your images first, sit with them, and decide how you feel.

Sometimes you fall in love with them and feel proud to share. Sometimes you love them deeply but want to keep them just for you. Both are completely valid.

If you do choose to share, it can be on your terms. That might mean images without faces, little details, quiet moments, or anything that feels comfortable for you. And if you’d rather not share anything at all, that is always respected. No pressure, no awkwardness, no change in how I photograph or care for you.

These photos are yours. Your story, your family, your memories.

I’m always so grateful when clients trust me enough to let me share a little glimpse, but your privacy matters more than any post I could ever create.

If you’ve ever worried about this, I hope this takes that weight off a little. I am now booking for June. Drop me a dm if you want to secure a space. motherhood photographer based in Wiltshire.

One thing that always makes me smile is how many parents tell me their little one has the biggest nap ever after their session with me.

Even though they’re all cosy, snuggled in, and looking perfectly calm, being a tiny model is hard work. The gentle handling, the subtle movements, the new sensations… it all adds up. So when I head home and hear that they slept for hours, it feels like proof that they’ve given it their all.

Honestly, I think it’s one of the sweetest parts of the job. A calm session, a happy baby, and a well-earned post-shoot nap

2025, thank you.

This year was about people. People I met, worked with, learned from, and quietly carried with me long after our time together ended.

I met 27 brand new humans on this Earth. I stood beside 31 incredible pregnant women, watching strength, softness, nerves, and excitement all exist at once. I photographed 21 weddings, each one different, each one full of meaning. I watched your families grow, shift, expand, and settle into new versions of themselves, and that will never stop feeling like an honour.

I travelled to four different countries. I delivered 82 galleries, each one a small piece of someone’s story. I made friends. Real ones. I met photographers I once admired from afar and somehow found myself standing next to them, talking shop, laughing, learning.

Behind the scenes, I took time to learn about myself too. I pushed harder than I ever have, creatively and in business. That work placed me in the top 3 percent worldwide for business growth, something I’m deeply proud of, not because of the number, but because of what it represents. Consistency. Courage. Showing up even when it felt uncomfortable.

Next year feels like a shift.

I’ll be sharing more of what I’ve learned with the photography world. My mentoring will be launching properly, and I’ll be helping others build sustainable, balanced businesses that support real lives, not burnout. I also have a bunch of creative sessions coming up, and I honestly cannot wait. Producing work I am truly proud of feeds everything else I do. It sharpens my eye, stretches my creativity, and lets me bring even more intention and depth into your sessions.

If you were part of my 2025 in any way, thank you. For trusting me, for inviting me in, for letting me tell your story.

Here’s to more growth, more connection, and more work that feels meaningful in every sense. Reel cover image by
