One of the questions I see asked regularly in wedding groups is:
“Is a wedding videographer worth it?”
Rather than answer that question myself, I thought it would be far more valuable to hear from a real couple.
I recently sat down with Georgia & Maisie, whose Christmas wedding in York I had the pleasure of filming, to talk openly about their experience of having a wedding video.
We discuss:
• How they chose their videographer
• What it felt like being filmed
• Whether being camera shy was a concern
• Photo vs video
• The most emotional moments from their film
• Hearing their vows and speeches back
• Whether they feel it was worth the investment
The conversation is part of a new long-form series I’m creating called Frames Of A Wedding, designed to give couples a genuine behind-the-scenes insight into wedding days and the wedding industry through the perspectives of real couples and wedding professionals.
Whether you’re planning your wedding now, undecided about videography, or simply curious about what it’s actually like having your day filmed, I hope you’ll find something useful in the conversation.
I’d love to hear your thoughts too:
For those already married, what part of your wedding day do you wish you could relive?
And for those currently planning, what’s your biggest question about wedding videography?
