The world’s fastest animal, capable of reaching speeds of over 240 mph during a hunting dive. Every time I photograph a peregrine falcon, I’m reminded that speed alone isn’t what makes them extraordinary, it’s the precision, focus, and control that come with it.

These two moments show different sides of the same incredible predator. One locked in with that unmistakable stare, the other carrying the reward of a successful hunt. Nature at its rawest and most impressive.

Captured at Ribblehead Viaduct last year during an unforgettable night in the Yorkshire Dales, with the Milky Way above and the final train lighting the valley below. Still one of our favourite captures to date.
