7.60 Heads Up - Back on the track where we love it most with this totally awesome 2002 Turbo charged Chevrolet S10 ex Pro Stock pickup truck driven by John Sleath! 💥💥💥

John originally ran a 1,100 HP Duramax Diesel motor but retired the diesel setup after reaching the absolute structural limits of the factory stock block, heads, crank, and engine management. He swapped the diesel out for a 400ci petrol LS engine built with a stock block and heads to see if the petrol V8 setup could surpass his diesel records.

The aim of 7.60 class is to hit 7.60! Sounds simple, isn’t always easy when it’s such a tight field of contenders at play! Make sure you lookout for events where 7.60 is running! It’s such a great competition to watch 💪🏼

This one is certainly for the old school drag truck fans out there! 🔥🔥🔥

What a weekend it’s been over at Silverstone race track for CarFest 26, where to begin!

Being part of the Santa Pod Raceway family is an absolute honour, privilege and joy. Just to be able to showcase what drag racing is all about along side fellow racers and teams was just outstanding! Seeing people’s reactions, whether they were virgins or veterans to drag racing was just impeccable!

The response and feedback to our beloved sport at CarFest 26 was certainly moving! It was just brilliant to educate people and to shed light on what they’re missing out on.

Also, I’ve been crewing for Hawk Racing Fuel FC now for almost an entire season, just what an absolute awesome experience it’s been, such giant thanks to Dale Leeks for bringing me on to the team to run the social media pages and film everything wherever we go. Such a huge thanks to the team members for all doing their part and also making me feel so welcome with them.

Our team showed up and like everyone else was there to demonstrate fire ups and view the car as if we were in between racing rounds, it really was brilliant spending time with everyone on the team and above all having an absolute blast together.

Colin Theobald You really did amazing as always with all your knowledge, wisdom and charisma when captivating an audience! Especially when the weather wasn’t on our side! Thank you for your part at CarFest!

Big thanks to all the staff that came and helped with the entire event, you know who you all are.

I’m really moved by the aura and power of our community at Santa Pod! Wherever we go, we are one.

Greenlight Pro - Check out this awesome carbon fibre bodied twin turbo Ford Mustang driven by Phil Drewit 🔥🔥🔥

The car itself is owned by Trevor Hirst of ASD FuelTech which in itself is rather cool!

Sporting an all aluminium 526ci Ford Wedge engine, a Bruno Leco 3 speed gearbox, twin precision 88mm turbos! The chassis is also from USA, built by Skinny Kid Race Craft Chassis 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Phil’s current personal best in the car over the standing 1/4mile is 6.94 seconds at 201mph! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

We all love Ford Pops but when we see a blown Ford Pop Van we know it’s going to be awesome! 💥

7.60 Heads Up - 2002 Chevrolet S10 Pickup Ex Pro Stock Truck driven by Belinda Bull 🔥🔥🔥

Sporting a 368ci V8, built and engineered by Jeff Bull Race Engines, this old pro stock truck always pleases the crowd! The wheels up on this heavy truck says it all 🔥

Again, this class combines bracket racing with heads up racing, the competition is insanely tight. The goal is simple, hit 7.60 seconds by 1/4 mile! That’s genuinely a lot more challenging than it looks combined with the fact that the competition itself is fractions out with each contenders ET most of the time!

Pro Modified - REPOST ‘63 Chevrolet Corvette Pro Mod’s engine goes bang with a cloud of smoke whilst going up against ‘56 Ford Thunderbird 💥💥💥💥

Swiss driver Marcus Hilt in ‘The Punisher showing a promising start to the race but ends up with a small explosion to the front of the motor!

Unfortunately, Kevin Slyfield in the ‘Blownbird’ car doesn’t get the traction he was looking for but ends up getting quite the view from behind!

Watch as Mark drives the car to a near perfect 7.60 second ET, giving us a real taste of what the class is all about, without a doubt probably the most butch and toughest Supra you’ll see today!💥💥💥

This team has genuinely come in leaps and bounds, showcasing absolute consistency as often as it comes! Nothing holds these guys back, even with mechanical issues!

The car itself is an ex pro mod car from back in the day but has a new lease of life in the brilliant 7.60 Heads Up class which challenges competitors to get as close to 7.60 as possible! Not as easy as it looks for many reasons.

Greenlight Pro - Hailing from Scotland we’ve got David Murdoch in his outstanding Street Eliminator class ‘68 Pontiac Firebird named ‘Bad Burd Racing’! 🔥🔥🔥

The car is sporting a Twin Turbo 602ci 9.8 litre Big Block V8 engine, Crazy to think that this car is entirely street legal! 🤯🤯🤯

David gives us one heck of a smoky burnout and sits in the cloud for a moment showcasing just how mean the car looks. As the car itself launches it loses some traction but gets back into the groove and finishes nicely with an 8.953 second ET at 154.64mph over the quarter mile!

Greenlight Pro - ‘Another Small Fortune’ Methanol Blown Dragster driven by 21 year old Dougie Hill sees a new personal best for the driver and the car itself at 5.624 seconds at 248.23mph over the 1/4 mile💥💥💥

Dougie Hill is best known for driving his golden delight of a nostalgia slingshot dragster ‘Motor Mouse’ but today he fills in for Harry Gibson!

This car is an absolute weapon, housing a Blown Hemi engine and packing the same fuel and attitude as a Top Methanol dragster, this car is the fastest bracket car in the world!

Usually competing in Super Pro ET we watch Dougie stepping up to the Greenlight Pro Class where he lays down one of the most remarkable of runs!

I think Dougie is certainly cut out for higher horsepower! 🔥🔥🔥
