Well a few of you on here may have followed me for the past 12 years and some of you may be new 👋 . Although I’ve not posted on Facebook for 4 years (don’t judge me) I have been incredibly busy building my business & my brand.

I am walking proof of how much life can change in a short space of time. I’m so excited to share this next chapter of both my business and life with you. Technology blows my mind!!!

So virtual shoots are now a thing and they are brilliant. All as you need is a camera phone and I sort the rest. Here are a few from a newborn session I did this afternoon (from the confront of my own home). What a total cutie!

In March (restrictions permitting) I will be launching “My Mummy and Me” sessions in time for Mother’s Day. This is to bring a focus and celebration of all things motherhood. It’s far to frequent that us mums are the ones always taking the pictures and never in the frame ourselves. We feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, or maybe our other halves never take those candid shots we long for, we sometimes feel that we don’t look good enough, or just want pictures of the children, the excuses are endless (and believe me Ive thought and heard of them all).

I’m here to remind you that your child(ren) thinks you are the most beautiful human in this whole world. There is no imperfection they see, they just see their safe place, and the true definition of love. I feel passionately about capturing connections with people but there is something beautifully unique about the bond seen between a mother and child.

These sessions can be at home (like I did this afternoon with my tripod and very tolerant 7 year old and less obliging very naked 2 year old) or they can be at your favourite park or special place. This is the perfect excuse to document those beautiful fleeting moments. I want to capture the hand holding and quiet cuddles, the tickles and smiles, reading a book or playing that favourite game. There is so much beauty in the daily details of our lives that just pass us by. These are the moments our children will cherish and it’s on my heart to capture them.

Last weekends Christmas Tree shoots were just so much fun. I smiled the whole weekend, being surround by so many beautiful families, running around the trees, all of us getting into the Christmas spirit- it did feel a bit magical. The sun came through beautifully on Saturday so thought I’d share a few from that day. (All clients from Sunday’s shoots will be hearing from me very soon)

I am getting a lot of messages about gift vouchers. I do have a few left, but as I wasn’t expecting so many people messaging me asking for them because I didn’t advitise this year I hadn’t bought more in the lead up to Christmas (stupidly). I will be ordering more tonight but doubt they will be here before the big day.

Another crazy weekend ahead. Then a much needed week off for Christmas.

Something so many of my families say to me is how they were so nervous about being in front of the camera but after a few minutes on our shoot they feel at ease and relax into it, this is such amazing feedback which I always cherish but over the years being so used to being behind the camera I think I’d forgotten how intimidating being on the other side can feel. Recently I’ve been making a conscious effort in making myself uncomfortable and stepping out of my own comfort zone. This morning I took my youngest baby for a walk with my tripod and we took some forever frozen moments. I struggle to look at myself on the screen like so many of us, but I know my girls are going to look at all of the photos with me in and not see my flaws but see their mum. My little encouragement to myself and you is to get in the frame with your loved ones more, whether that be a shoot or a selfie- it doesn’t matter. Time is fragile.
