I’m still in awe from my incredible visit on Sunday! The breathtaking planes and helicopters I encountered were nothing short of spectacular. My aviation bucket list now boasts a few more exciting additions, including the iconic Apache helicopter, the cutting-edge F-35, the sleek French Rafale, the impressive A400, and the massive Boeing C-17 Globemaster. After years of anticipation, I can proudly say that Cosford exceeded all my expectations.

Among the highlights were the RAF Typhoon and the dazzling Red Arrows, both of which showcased remarkable skill and precision in their performances. Yet, it was the commanding presence of the C-17, the agile Rafale, and the formidable Apache that truly captivated me. Their displays were nothing less than mesmerising, making this an unforgettable day of aviation excellence!

I'm slowly making my way through the edits for the arrows, and I can't help but marvel at this year's incredible display. The vibrant colours and intricate designs truly captivated the audience. Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend.

Every photographer's journey is marked by ups and downs, and this week has certainly been a testament to that. With my new camera body, I’ve embraced the challenge of mastering its settings, and I’m making great strides. Despite a few setbacks, the successes I’ve achieved have been incredibly rewarding.

One memorable moment this week was capturing my first owl in the wild at 11:00 PM. It was an exhilarating experience, and while I didn’t quite get the settings right, I still managed to take a few stunning images that I’m proud of. This demonstrates that even in less-than-perfect conditions, we can find opportunities for growth.

The past week is a reminder of the vital role that light plays in photography. I fully grasped how ISO, exposure, and shutter speed can transform our shots, reinforcing the idea that understanding these elements is essential for achieving the best results.

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a truly wonderful week so far.

Vicky and I recently enjoyed a delightful stroll along our local canal, and I wanted to share some of my favourite moments that I managed to capture. As we ambled along the water’s edge, I noticed that the cygnets are beginning to put on some charming weight, their fluffy little bodies growing more robust each day. It’s heartwarming to see the other birds joining in the spectacle, including the adorable baby ducks and lively moorhens that flit about in the reeds.

During our walk, we were treated to a dazzling flash of bright colours as a kingfisher whizzed past us, cutting through the air like a vibrant blue streak. Although he didn’t linger long enough for me to snap any still photographs today, I did manage to capture a fleeting moment of his flight, which felt like a lucky prize.

The highlight of yesterday’s adventure was a phone call from my wife, who was bubbling with excitement at the sight of baby kestrels. This was my first time seeing them this year, and I could almost picture the tiny, fluffy chicks peering out of their nest. It seemed like mum and dad were out hunting, as they were nowhere in sight, but the little ones appeared to be thriving and growing at a rapid pace.
