Share your experience of cancer on Warrington’s Chat Cancer podcast 🎙️

Chat Cancer is a podcast produced by Ludovico Media, in collaboration with Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance and Warrington Voluntary Action. The goal of the podcast is simple: to encourage more people in Warrington to participate in NHS screening for Breast, Bowel and Cervical cancers, and the new Targeted Lung Health Checks being rolled out across the area.

‣ Why is Cancer Screening Important?
People may not participate in cancer screening invitations due to fear, misunderstanding, or negative past experiences. However, early detection can make a difference, often catching cancer in its earliest stages before symptoms appear, and it’s more likely that it can be treated successfully.

‣ How Does the Chat Cancer Podcast Help?
We’ll feature honest and informative conversations with Warrington residents who have participated in cancer screenings. Guests will be lively and informal, sharing experiences and feelings that may break down barriers related to screening invitations, whilst emphasising why they are so important.

‣ Call for Guests: Join the Chat Cancer Podcast
Do you have a personal experience with cancer or cancer screenings that you’d like to share? Are you passionate about raising awareness of cancer screening invitations? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for engaging guests to join us across 4 episodes, focusing on NHS screening invitations for Bowel, Breast and Cervical cancer, plus Lung Health Checks. Whether you have a personal story to tell, are currently living with cancer, or want to help others feel more positive about screenings, we’d love you to join us.

‣ Why Should You Participate?
Raise Awareness: Help spread the word about the importance of cancer screening invitations and early detection.
Inform and Comfort: Your story can help listeners feel more informed and comfortable about screening invitations.
Engage with the Community: Participate in meaningful conversations with fellow Warrington residents.

We’ll be recording in Warrington town centre on Sunday, 22nd September, and will need your participation for the full day.

Ludovico is proud to introduce our latest project, Chat Cancer, a podcast produced in collaboration with Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance and Warrington Voluntary Action.

Chat Cancer is a bold series with a clear mission: to encourage more people to participate in NHS screening for Breast, Bowel and Cervical cancers, and highlight Targeted Lung Health Checks which are now being rolled out across the area.

We know screening invitations can be daunting – fear, embarrassment, and negative past experiences often keep people away.

But early detection is everything, it allows cancer to be caught at its earliest stages, often before any symptoms appear, when it’s more likely that it can be treated successfully.

Our plan is to simplify the discussion and enhance understanding of NHS screening and Lung Health Checks, by recording honest, engaging conversations with guests who are lively, informal, and real.

We want to demystify cancer screening invitations, remove barriers, and raise awareness.

Simply put, if one person decides to participate in their cancer screening after listening to the Chat Cancer podcast, we’ve done our job.

It’s always an exhilarating experience screening projects to clients and partners for the very first time. The culmination of countless hours of creativity, collaboration, and hard work!

From conceptualisation to final cut, at Ludovico we pour our hearts into every single project, caring just as much as our clients do.

This has been an incredibly important project for us, Everton in the Community and Juice Immersive, and the sense of responsibility has been huge for everyone.

The real work starts in rehearsal!

Take a glimpse into the rehearsal process for our latest project with Everton in the Community, a virtual reality experience produced for young people in order to tackle knife crime.

Whilst not always applicable, rehearsals are the perfect opportunity to experiment with different approaches and see what clicks, and more importantly, what doesn't!

Thanks so much to all our young people who joined us on the day, as well as the fantastic staff at EitC. Your hard work paid off!

At Ludovico, we love a bit of Shakespeare!

Our recent partnership with fantastic theatre makers Not Too Tame and Shakespeare North Playhouse saw us supporting culture & creativity in the North-West through their ambitious production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

Capturing their audition workshop helped us highlight the incredible talent and dedication of local creatives, giving audiences a glimpse into the hard work and passion that goes into the casting process.

Join us at the Northern Cultural Education Awards 2024!

We received an awesome invite by fantastic charity Curious Minds to showcase our media services alongside other creative companies like SkyArts, Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre, and Rochdale’s Skylight Circus Arts!

So team Ludovico created a mini media production house for young people to gain insight into the world of video production, and learn about job roles available in the media industry!

The awards were an inspiring celebration of best practice, innovation, and activism from the creative and cultural sector. From start to finish, it was a day to remember, and a brilliant opportunity to connect with our current Ludovico clients and some brand new ones too!
