Hello!! 👋
It’s been a minute, I know!

Following my redundancy at the end of last year, I was very lucky to secure a new role soon after, and I started my new job in January.

Although I was super nervous as it’s an industry I haven’t worked in before, I was looking forward to starting and getting stuck in, but what I couldn’t predict was the immense anxiety I experienced when I started. Which unfortunately lasted for about 5-6 weeks 🫣😕 and still get the odd pull backwards now and then.

I did write a long post about this, but it came out more “blog for Women’s Health” magazine, than social media post, so I’ve opted for this shorter version.

It wasn’t an easy period put it that way, and thankfully I persisted and saw light at the end of the tunnel, as I’m now really enjoying the role! 🙂

But I just wanted to be open about it, to explain my absence from socials (if anyone noticed!🤣) and because I think it’s something that a lot of women my age can resonate with - the hitting your 40s, losing your confidence, doubting yourself… and throw in all of the peri-what-not fun and games too!

I did my first photoshoot for a new client a few weeks ago which I’ll share soon, but it reminded how much I still love photography and it felt so good to return to one of my passions again! ❤️

Here’s a few photos of a ranunculus I used on this shoot. They’re one of my favourite flowers, gorgeous!! I remember wanting them at my wedding, but because we got married in September, they weren’t in season as they’re a spring flower! 🌺

If anyone wants to share their experiences or discuss anything I’ve shared, please feel free to message me. I found what really helped me at the time was talking to other women who had felt similar and had experienced the symptoms that I did.
I don’t think there’s enough support out there for things like this…….. but that’s one for a blog post!

So enjoy these pretty pictures, the sunny weekend, and think of me for any of your product photography needs 🌼🙂

Have loved seeing these 2016 vs 2026 posts, and for us, it was such an incredible year, challenging but so many great experiences.

And for me, any excuse to look back through photos is a bonus! ❤️

Happy New Year!! 🥳
How’s 2026 shaping up for you so far!?
It’s been a nice, slow start for me! 👍🏻

Are you jumping full throttle into making plans or are you still clinging on to hibernation mode? Think I’m still largely in the latter! Especially due to the weather…

A little late to the party, but we’ll be watching the Stranger Things finale this weekend! Who’s seen it??
I’m gonna miss Steve. And Murray! 😆

A little introduction to a new, local business which I’ve had the pleasure of working with recently and supporting their launch. Garreth from contacted me a few months ago after spotting me on good old Google maps (for all my moans about Google - there are some plus points!), as it’s a very, very local business to mine. In fact when I went round for our first meeting, I drove, and I think there was a man walking his dog who beat me there!

Anyway, so Garreth had kept me in mind whilst the foundations of his watch restoration business began to take shape, and by September he was ready for things to pick up momentum. It’s a niche business with a clearly defined target market, and I love this. He knew what he wanted to deliver and who he wanted to deliver it to. And for the photography, he very handily had ready made AI images for me to use as a guide, which made the whole process really straight-forward for me. Ok, AI - one point to you! 😃

His main product is a full restoration kit with numerous parts to enable a complete watch restoration service in defined stages. The main advantage is having the whole kit to do it yourself in one go as opposed to taking it to pricey jewellers etc ... and also hopefully gaining that satisfaction of restoring a treasured item by yourself.

I commented to him after how nice and simple I’d found doing the photography. Really minimalistic, clean shots, mostly with natural daylight and bounce boards. It was important to remain consistent with the lighting and overall tone, and ensure that the small product features spoke for themselves.

I loved this shoot, a nice challenge with different products and a completely new business to support. Plus, I got to experiment with a few watch shots too! No offence to my home fragrance and skincare clients, but this was the first time my husband commented - “you do realise that these probably won’t be covered by our home insurance!” 😩

Some lovely initial feedback too - thanks Garreth ☺️
