Hello!! 👋
It’s been a minute, I know!
Following my redundancy at the end of last year, I was very lucky to secure a new role soon after, and I started my new job in January.
Although I was super nervous as it’s an industry I haven’t worked in before, I was looking forward to starting and getting stuck in, but what I couldn’t predict was the immense anxiety I experienced when I started. Which unfortunately lasted for about 5-6 weeks 🫣😕 and still get the odd pull backwards now and then.
I did write a long post about this, but it came out more “blog for Women’s Health” magazine, than social media post, so I’ve opted for this shorter version.
It wasn’t an easy period put it that way, and thankfully I persisted and saw light at the end of the tunnel, as I’m now really enjoying the role! 🙂
But I just wanted to be open about it, to explain my absence from socials (if anyone noticed!🤣) and because I think it’s something that a lot of women my age can resonate with - the hitting your 40s, losing your confidence, doubting yourself… and throw in all of the peri-what-not fun and games too!
I did my first photoshoot for a new client a few weeks ago which I’ll share soon, but it reminded how much I still love photography and it felt so good to return to one of my passions again! ❤️
Here’s a few photos of a ranunculus I used on this shoot. They’re one of my favourite flowers, gorgeous!! I remember wanting them at my wedding, but because we got married in September, they weren’t in season as they’re a spring flower! 🌺
If anyone wants to share their experiences or discuss anything I’ve shared, please feel free to message me. I found what really helped me at the time was talking to other women who had felt similar and had experienced the symptoms that I did.
I don’t think there’s enough support out there for things like this…….. but that’s one for a blog post!
So enjoy these pretty pictures, the sunny weekend, and think of me for any of your product photography needs 🌼🙂
