170m above Worbarrow Bay on the Dorset Jurassic Coast...wind howling across the water and up the cliff face right into my face...had some stunning, changing light recently...dark clouds casting moody shadows, contrasting hugely with openings in the marshmallow sky where sunlight floods out...

It has been fascinating to see the evolution of Comet Neowise as it approached closer to Earth in it`s orbit of the Sun...going from an opaque narrow fan to this spectacular transparent, detailed, more elongated structure with a glowing green nucleus and the astonishing ribbon of blue that is the ion tail...
I`m happy to have managed to have captured all of this in this tracked image...it was especially difficult to stack and line up the images as the comet moves at different speeds across the sky relative to the background stars and galaxies due to the vast differences in distances from us...
There`s still time to catch it before it disappears from our skies, so if you haven`t seen it yet get outside after dark and try to catch a view of it...

"Alien Visitor Stuns Earthlings..."
Time is running out for us to see or photograph Comet Neowise before if starts fading from our night skies...so if you haven`t seen it yet, make sure you do soon...
It will be at it`s closest to Earth on 23rd July. It is visible all night at the moment as soon as it goes dark. Go out and find the constellation of Ursa Major and look for The Plough or Big Dipper, then stretch out your arm below it, about a hand length above the horizon will be Neowise...it will be faint at first so let your eyes adjust to the darkness then as the night moves on the comet gains in brightness...and if you are a parent, take your children out to see it if you can...you dont need a camera but if you can try to look at it through some binoculars and the little ones will be amazed...enjoy...:)

After the crazy and dangerous scenes at our coasts and beaches over the last few weeks, it was such a relief to find a near deserted Durdle Door beach for this sunset...It`s been hard to understand why people would want to queue to get down these narrow steps on to a crowded `small` pebble beach (with no amenities or toilets) at the same time as people are queueing to get up the steps...meaning they were brushing shoulders with other sweaty, near naked people and unable to distance from anybody...
It certainly looks better like this IMHO...
Have a great weekend...

Hoping to shoot more wildlife photography after concentrating primarily on astro & landscape shoots...the challenges are multiplied with something that doesn`t sit still, moves at a hundred miles an hour, hides in the middle of bushes, trees & fields, you`re avoiding the showers and also trying to will it into the most eye catching light and pose...🤣
Thankfully this little beaut was sympathetic to my struggles...
